"My husband and I had a pleasant one night stay at this ryokan! Staff are very courteous and welcoming. We were greeted with a welcome tea and orientation to the room, and onsen pass. Location is within walking distance to the train station and a few of the onsens nearby. There are no showers in the room, as all onsens have showers. We got the kaiseki dinner and breakfast service, and were served by the lovely older ladies who were very attentive. Felt welcome and would recommend to any guests coming to Kinosaki! "

The food was better than a 3 Michelin star meal we had earlier in our trip and our room felt authentic. "The hotel was very clean, spacious, and the staff very kind and polite. For people travelling, the staff speaks english very well, so check in and out is easy. As a guest, you are given a complimentary drink/food item every day, from a pre set menu; there is alcohol on this menu for those that are wondering. There is also a complimentary breakfast at their restaurant right next to the concierge. It is a traditional style breakfast, that includes Miso soup, natto, rice, tamago, salad, pork sausage, and fish. Drinks are refillable. Overall great place to stay. Toyooka is a small but peaceful city, so the train is within walking distance, as is everything else."
