「I think the one star rating for this property is unfair. Room was clean, bathroom good, lots of hotwater, heat. I even believe that the actual owner showed me to my room. Easy to get to off the highway. If your looking for a clean bed, hot shower. This is a good choice」

「We stayed our last night in Nova Scotia at the Amherst Shore Country Inn. It’s family owned and had a nice welcoming feel to it. Mary was so helpful and nice. The room was very nice and comfortable, the property is beautiful, right on the water, and the main part of the inn is cozy. It was a little rainy but we put on our rain gear and explored the grounds. Not only are the grounds beautiful but there are places to sit, to play games, and just relax. Our entire experience was delightful! 」

「Home is beautiful and well appointed. Though the water quality was explained to us prior to our stay, it was a bit disconcerting. The only other minor suggestion is that the barbecue needs better cleaning as there was a lot of grease buildup that burnt off.」

「The property was clean and didn't show any adverse effects of last years hurricane...very quiet and right on the shore. We enjoyed fires in the fire pit provided and watched the sunset....Due to its rural setting the stars are amazing clear. The accommodations are very rustic...The beds were comfortable. I strongly recommend the meals at the Inn. The best we had during our stay.」

「Gorgeous cottage and location! Only issue was grocery store was 1/2 hour away and we did a lot of daily trips and this wasn’t central for that. Had we just planned on staying put it would be a perfect vacation spot」
