"Cedar Falls is a surprisingly robust community and the Blackhawk Hotel is a hidden gem! The staff is engaging and generous and go the extra mile to make sure you’re taken care of and heard. This is an historic inn, so the premises are burnished with years of use, which I think just adds to its charm. Main Street is dotted with several unique eating, drinking and shopping establishments and our nightcap at the Bar Winslow in the hotel was the perfect spot for our too-short stay in Cedar Falls."

"I've stayed at a lot of hotels of this chain and unfortunately this location was not up to par. I was in town for my daughter's high school competition and we spent all day (8+ hrs) at the high school and called ahead to make sure our room was ready by the time we'd be there and they said yes. We arrived an hr after check in only to be told we would have to wait another hr or so. I had exhausted kids ready to crash and the front desk receptionist could not give me a time frame. So we went to dinner and came back a little over an hr and the room was STILL NOT DONE so we waited another 30-45 min.. Was not impressed. And I know continental breakfasts are nothing fancy but when you run out of dishware and cutlery and the hot food was not good at all minus the waffle maker (you really can't mess that up). Will not be returning back to this establishment."

"Diana was very nice. The apartment was clean. Location was great for our needs. Only thing I would recommend is to get rid of all the directions (notes) on what the host would like guests to do. Could write it all on 1 sheet."

"Wow! Such a great spot and perfect for my trip. Convenient, easy to access, and close to everything, this loft was just awesome. Clean, roomy, well-equipped, and uncluttered space to unwind after air travel, rental car, and stressful day. The directions to access came through a timely email and Kris, the Host was extremely responsive via email. I have to return to Waverly to attend to my family for medical resons and this is my new sanctuary! Thanks again, Kris. You have a great little "slice of heaven" with the Swanky Downtown Loft! Bravo!"

"We really enjoyed the property it was a beautiful setting and very clean, our host was very friendly and respectful and we enjoyed chatting with them about the property. The history of the mill and area were definitely historical. we would suggest this property to any one looking to get away."
