Nice facilities, pool was great. Cleanliness was an issue. We found bits of bacon under the sofas in the main room along with all sorts of dust and dirt which we vacuumed up. The grease under the range hood was considerable and we wiped that clean as best we could. We had some issues with plumbing and the septic field backing up and overflowing into the showers downstairs. Host had to get a plumber who said that bacon grease had clogged the drains and for us not to put bacon grease into the plumbing. We have stayed at many summer properties as a family and are VERY familiar with septic fields and how delicate they are and would NEVER dump bacon grease into any septic system, ever. The downstairs bedrooms were not air conditioned at were hot at night. We were requested to leave by 10AM (the listing said 11AM) which was a little uncomfortable for the gang. That said, the place was well laid out and amenities like the little gym, contained outdoor area, hot tub, and pool were great. Lots of dishes and plates and the LARGE refrigerator freezers were awesome. The view was nice, there was a little road noise with the odd harley going by but was generally not an issue. Having the little store so close was handy. Having two dishwashers was very useful!! Overall stay was good but would suggest a deep clean of the place. -Russell Kennedy, MD
