「We loved our stay in ‘The Coop’. Rachel and her partner were very helpful and responsive providing great local recommendations. The Shepherds Hut was clean, cosy, private and in an excellent location. A short 10 min walk to the main high street and beach. 「Stayed for 2 nights with our 2 pugs. Cabin was exactly as described. Weather was terrible so had takeaways rather thsn outside cooking facilities. Cabin and enclosed patio are small but perfect for break and right on seafront so location is spot on. Sharon the host was lovely and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay again if in area. Bonus points for bathroom toiletries which were 10/10!」

「Had a truly wonderful time relaxing at this gorgeous home away from home. It was extremely clean, quiet and a great base to adventure from each day. The hosts provided lots of essentials and some lovely extras to enable us to relax at home after a day out. There’s plenty of space to relax and watch the squirrels and have a nice homemade meal with island produce. Having stayed at a similar property in previous years this definitely beat it by a far!」

「On arrival we found milk in the fridge, and biscuits on the table which was a nice touch. There was emergency contact details on the fridge, and wifi details. Well appointed property, close to Shanklin Chine, beach, amusements, restaurants, chippy and crazy golf. The property was very clean, (and this is from someone who is OCD about cleanliness), and well equipped. If I was to suggest one improvement, it would be useful to have a top cupboard in the kitchen for food storage. The only downside...

「It really is a very cosy and inviting yurt, with wonderfully eclectic decor. The owner made me feel very welcome, and it was fun to sit on the boardwalk in front of the yurt and listen to curlews. It is a short walk into the village for provisions, and there is a bus stop just a few metres' walk away. The road behind the yurt is a little busy in 'rush hour', but the position makes up for it. I haven't been to the island since I was a moody adolescent. It's lovely, full of variety.」
