Smile Hotel Kushiro
I very much enjoyed my stay at Smile Hotel. Everyone was nice and welcoming. If there was any issue or questions they would answer it. The buffet was breakfast only which was helpful and amazing.

Clearly when this hotel was new, it was a fabulous place. However, the property is now extremely dated, with 80s style decor throughout, and most seriously, poorly-maintained rooms containing worn and damaged furniture. Clean, tiny, gets the job done. For the price, great little place. Good to know - it is not next to the main Kushiro station, but it is next to Higata-Kushiro station.
