Important Details:
Your safety and security is our top priority. Our cabin is equipped with a Ring Floodilght and Cameras. Cameras face outward and monitor exterior entryways. There are no cameras or recording devices inside the cabin.
Our cabin is nestled amongst the trees and situated on the side of a hill. While the roads are steep and windy at times, they are well maintained and easily traveled. 4-wheel drive is not required, but it may provide additional stability and control in inclement weather.
Bears and other wildlife are always active in the Smoky Mountains and you may have some encounters during your stay. While this can be exciting and scary all at the same time, please follow these simple rules to keep yourself AND the wildlife safe:
Be aware of surroundings
Do not approach any wildlife
Do not feed any wildlife - especially Black Bears
Maintain a safe distance - 50 yards if possible
Black Bears are very smart creatures and if they want something (mostly food related), they will figure out how to get to it. To minimize the chance of any negative encounters with Black Bears, keep these simple tips in mind:
Keep car and cabin doors closed and locked at all times
Keep car windows rolled up
Do not leave food or drinks in your vehicles - even when locked w/ windows up
Do not leave food and/or trash lying around the property
Keep the bear-proof trash bins secure at all times
A propane fire table is available for your use in our outdoor, open-air seating area. However, we are unable to monitor propane useage.
Ask about our Propane Tank Exchange Program
We have driveway parking for up to two (2) vehicles and due to neighborhood restrictions, street parking is not permitted at any time. Our driveway may seem a bit tricky to maneuver out of, but it is possible and with a little practice you can be a pro in no time!
