Loved the Mountain View’s and the beautiful cabin. The beds were amazing, the furnishings are all well selected. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The host was very accommodating and responsive during booking.
We all had a fantastic time! The cabin is not too far from town but also far enough in the mountains that you get the secluded vibe! The cabin was very clean and well-kept! The view was so beautiful!
We thoroughly enjoyed this place! The views were amazing! The bedrooms were exactly what we needed and the pool table was a plus on the colder days we had to stay inside! We had a little mishap and the owner was quick to respond and remedy the situation. Will definitely stay again!
We had three generations and three households who visited the Smoky Mountains, and Buddy’s Mountain Hideaway was absolutely perfect. We each had our own space but also shared spaces for hanging out. The cabin had something for everybody from pool to back porch swinging to video games. We would definitely recommend this cabin and would love to visit again!
The cabin was awesome! Everything was in order. View was great! Everything clean and tidy. Fit our family of 5 perfect! We were very happy with our stay there!!
The views are great and the mattress’s will make you want to replace the ones at your house. The hot tub and the fireplace were operational and awesome. I recommend this place to people needing that special place.
We loved this place! As long as you aren’t nitpicky about minor things, this place is a great option. It’s an older place for the location so it has its pieces of aged character that I felt made it feel like a real home. If you are looking for perfection find something else. But all the properties in this location are gorgeous and this one was perfectly fine for us. Thanks you to the property managers for the great experience.
good base for our trip; clean, secure, as advertised the drive was extremely steep; none of the tv's were working which actually was a good thing for the family; the hot cover wasn't on and we had to skim debris to use it.
The cabin is beautiful, loved the king size beds! Alisa was amazing responding quicklly when we were in a bind needing an extra night due to hurricane Milton heading to our home state. The extra night was perfection. Driveway looks scarier than it is, I’m sure it’s worse with snow and ice. Microwave was broken, messaged Alisa and she was already ordering a replacement. Not a big deal. We’d stay again. The view is incredible from all 3 back deck areas!
The property is as described in the ad. There are a few things that need to be fixed. The microwave door will not close , hot tube doesn’t work properly and the coffee pot took almost an hour to make. The cabin is a beautiful cabin , just needs a deep cleaning and the floors need to be touched up. As far as the driveway, we was in a mini van and didn’t have any problems.
Our kids were here playing at the All Ripken Games at Ripken Pigeon Forge. We knew we wanted somewhere not on the main strip but close to the facility. This was the perfect location. A few of the photos were not accurate depiction - there is no gas grill on deck. We did a lot of cooking at the house and some of the kitchen amenities were worn. We had a few wildlife visitors including a bear who decided to take the cover off the septic. The owner was incredibly responsive and sent folks to fix it. The hot tub was less than half full when we arrived but we were able to add water and it warmed up. The views are wonderful and the mattress is very comfortable in the Master bedroom. Overall, great stay!
My family and I planned this quick getaway before my kids return to college soon. The property appeared as described. I appreciated the warning about the very steep driveway. We were ok driving a large SUV, but a low profile vehicle would probably not be able to get down the driveway. Honestly, the property could use a deep cleaning on the fixtures, on top of the fridge and around the windows, to name a few. The master bed was very tall which would be an issue if someone a little shorter stayed there. Overall, it was a good stay, we had great weather, the proximity to the area attractions was a short drive, the hot tub was nice and I would consider staying there again.
Pros: View is fantastic. Pet friendly and our doodles loved it. Enclosed deck so they can run free without worry. Pool table was very fun. Under 30 mins to downtown Gatlinburg. Comfortable beds and plenty of room where 5 adults could enjoy without feeling like on top of each other.
Cons: Hot tub kept leaking out water so had to call repair man in. Was very dirty so didn’t really use which was a big bummer as this was a big part of why we chose this cabin. The bathtub in master also jetted out nasty dirty stuff. Also wasn’t used. Microwave only works when you hold door closed. Coffee pot shuts off all the time so you have to watch over it to make a pot of coffee.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
Cute cabin, poor communication.
Overall good stay. Appreciated fireplace, bedrooms, and washer/dryer. Cabin was not decorated for Christmas even though we were told it would be. Christmas season is popular for these type of cabins, so it should have been decorated when we arrived. Host communicated more quickly about getting Christmas decor put up on Christmas Eve, which we greatly appreciated. However, communication overall was lacking. Sometimes no answer or maybe even a full day before replying. Also, cabin needs to improve cleaning services. Many windows are dirty, including huge windows in main area. Also, ceiling fan has caked on dust that is visible. For the amount we paid, cabin should be in tip top shape.

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Lovely view
This house is clean, has everything you need for your stay and the beds are comfortable and extremely high. One of our guests had to run so she could get on the bed. I am 5'8" and could not get on the bed. The house has great water pressure in the kitchen and bathroom sinks, but the water pressure in the shower was low to non-existent. It took five minutes to get your hair wet.
The driveway is extremely steep. When you enter the driveway, you cannot see the bottom. I highly recommend having a 4-wheel drive vehicle for the driveway alone. My Lexus RX 350 had a hard time getting up the hill (the back wheels would spin). PLEASE ONLY USE APPLE MAPS to get to this house.
. I gave my ratings for the following reasons:
I gave the cleanliness a 4 due to some of the blankets smelt like dog, however I understand this is a dog friendly place and we did bring ours.
I rated the check in process a four because even the morning of the trip I had received no instructions or directions and I had to reach out to the owner, however she was prompt with her response and I got everything working minutes.
The listing matching was a four due to there needs to be some consistency and updates. There is no gas grill on-site. And the check out times were different on the site than the email I received. However I reached out to the owner and she clarified it right away.
All communication with the owner that was initiated was great, with quick response. That was a 5.
The location was amazing far up in the hills quiet and peaceful, but just a trip down the mountain and you are right in the action.
We did not know it was the weekend import car show was and it was more crowded than usual and very loud on the strip. We will take note of that in the future.
I did make suggestions for the front porch lights to run on a switch. The motion lights worked great when they went off, I do not think I was tall enough for them to sense me.
We did not see any bears or raccoons, however we did encounter a close call with a copperhead while walking our dog on the road by the cabin. If you bring your dog and walk them be alert. Great trip overall !!
