"The property was very clean. The coffee pod machine v welcome. It was above 30 and with no air con in living area I had to go to main road area for some shaded seating to enjoy my stay. Local cafes were lovely and the amenities store had everything I needed. I was fortunate that had local friends who could drive me around as not much in local area. "This gracious hotel used to be a residence and has been lovingly restored. It's in a beautiful exclusive residential area and has a magnificent philosophy of helping people learn a trade. The breakfast is delightful and you can even get a warm hard boiled egg."

"I originally booked a single room but the bed was amazingly narrow and could not sleep well, so had to upgrade to a bigger bed. Don't choose this option unless you are a dwarf. The breakfast was poor value. Don't choose it. On the positive side, the location of the hotel is excellent, staff friendly and helpful and all spoke English."

"The people at the reception were so nice and very helpful. Really really nice!! Our room was on the same floor as the reception and the palier/ entrance in between the doors smelled really bad. It was a horrible sewer smell. Another thing you need to consider is the AC. They don’t turn it on. It gets hot at night and you cannot open the windows because of mosquitoes. "

"We had a three night stay in this beautifully restored hotel. Our room (Roald Amundsen) was huge and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We also had a drink on the rooftop terrace one evening for a stunning sunset. The location was brilliant in the heart of the old town - out of the hustle of the tourist zones but still easily accessible on foot. Breakfast being included was a bonus, though basic and would not have been worth paying extra for if not included. "

"Booked VIP suite solely for the private sauna. It can only be operated via touchscreen mounted on the wall, which was not working properly. On a 3 day stay, maintenance and hotel staff members were in our room for two of those days trying to repair it, but ultimately were unsuccessful. We never used the sauna. Aside from that, staff is very friendly and helpful, and the property is very clean and beautiful. Without the sauna issue, I would definitely rate it 5 stars."
