There was an error with my reservation- the room was not available (even though the entire stay was paid for in advance, and I also received the usual confirmation/reminder emails from Expedia in the days leading up to the stay).
I was moved to another hotel nearby, but would have to check out in the middle of my trip and check in again at the original hotel. It was incredibly difficult to contact the hotel, both on the original check in day and the day I had to change hotels. This was due to issues with the Expedia messaging platform- there was significant delays in the messaging platform, meaning that I could not see the messages from the hotel (with hotel details, check in information), despite them being able to see messages from me. I tried accessing the Expedia app on 2 different phones (Android/ Apple) and via webpage, with the same issue.
Having to change my travel plans in the middle of my stay (in order to check out/re-check in at 12pm) AND move hotels was incredibly inconvenient, and the messaging issue (which meant even more time spent trying to contact the hotel).
After all that, when I actually went to check in to the new room, the door code did not work, which necessitated another trip to "reception" to request they reset the door code. Fortunately staff were still on site (though I am unclear what the "reception" office hours are)
Please note this hotel does not have onsite reception-no "front desk" or staff it is run virtually. Would not book again.
