I thought the area was located in a great spot. I was able to walk to places i wanted to visit within a 30 minute radius and the subway/bus was not too far. The people here were also very kind and helped me leave suitcases earlier than check in time which helped me with my travels. I also overslept during check out, completely on me, and they were really nice about it!!! Dont oversleep like me though, please check out by the time they need as they get to work right away on cleaning the space :)

The owner Ocean was very hospitable and accomodating when it was pouring rain outside and had nowhere to stay overnight before my flight. He went above and beyond for me, even giving me directions on how to get to the airport when I was confused and anxious. The receptionist Rachel was very friendly and welcoming and always answered my questions whenever I had them. I was able to meet and chat with a few cool folks in the shared guest area as well! I really enjoyed my stay here, and if I am ever in Seoul again I’d definitely come back!

One of the worst places I have stayed. Constant trash smells across the property, the shower curtains were moldy and the bathrooms smelled like mold. The trash in the kitchen was overflowing. The cleaning rags in the kitchen smelled like rotten eggs and since they were used to clean the dishes everythingsmelled like rotten egg as well. It was hard to stay in the common areas due to the strong smells. My last day I left the property at 7 am since the trash smell woke me up. Don't stay here

Great if you want to party

The hostel is ideal for 20 year olds who want to party, we were not that. The noise between the rooms is so loud, you can hear people in neighbouring rooms word for word. On the night that most of the hostel went out there was loud noise until 6am.

Tourist friendly stay in excellent location

Ocean’s guesthouse was amazing. It’s a short 18mins walk to Hongdae street with lots of stuff to do nearby. The hosts are very kind, and always happy/available to help. The hostels vibe is friendly and social, so I ended up meeting so many cool humans from around the world. Will be back here the next time I’m in Seoul!
