We were here in October 2017. Hotel was nice, had a shared kitchen that we didn't use. Can walk to a few restaurants nearby. There was a hot tub that was shared as well. We only stayed one night so we didn't try it out. It was a little difficult to find the place, and once we did we weren't sure about the parking situation. But we figured it out. The place was nice and clean. Would stay here again.

The hotel was haunted. Lots of nose at night. Wind howling through the cracks in the window. Machine in common area making noise all night. Didn't sleep well.

Das Guesthouse ist in einem hervorragenden Zustand und in allen Bereichen absolut sauber. Die Ausstattung geht über das erwartbare Maß deutlich hinaus. Vor allem die Sanitäreinrichtungen sind vorbildlich, aber auch die zusätzlichen Angebote wie Hot-Pot bereichern den Aufenthalt. Der Empfang war überaus freundlich.

Nice guesthouse walking distance to downtown

Considering value for money Guesthouse Garun was the best place we stayed in Iceland and we stayed in 2 other guesthouses and 2 hotels. Facilities and comfort were excellent.

Good and nice guesthouse. Just next to the ring road, in an quiet street. The hot tub outside in the evening was really nice. The room was clean and comfortable.

Hands down, Best place we stayed in Iceland!!

We first went to the other guesthouse but then the owner was kind enough to personally come pick us up. Then we were checked into our room which was nice & spacious. The bathroom were shared but were in immaculate condition. It rather felt like home than a hotel. The host is super awesome. She even did the laundry for us & when I went to pay, she said it was on the house. The guesthouse offers a fully equipped kitchen. This place combines a hotel & AirBnB. The host go above & beyond to make you feel comfortable. We stayed in quite a few places in Iceland but this is the best of all. Highly recommended!

Good location, nice room

Very nice staff. The room is big clean. beds are comfortable. They have a kitchen down stair that you can use and store food tin the fridge I wish they have more place to hang clothes/ jacket. We are there November so we have more layers The bathroom need to have some hooks for hanging towel... Overall it is a very good room

A MUST STAY!!

Room was big for 2 people, and great for the price you pay. The receptionist (forgot her name) was super nice, attentive, and helpful with any questions. Would definitely stay again should I come to Iceland later.

Perfect Stay

Excellent property. Clean and spacious rooms and bathrooms. Excellent service from the owner as well as staff. Wonderful hot tub to enjoy in the evening. Very central location in Selfoss and Selfoss is very central to visit destinations in Southwest Iceland. Highly recommended.
