We visited Selçuk for a spiritual pilgrimage, exploring the Basilica of St John, the historic Ephesus site, and attending Sunday mass at the House of the Virgin Mary, along with a lovely trip to Kuşadası.
We arrived late after a flight delay, and we hadn't noticed to notify them of a late arrival. We had to ring up to get let in, but the hosts were incredibly accommodating and were there in just two minutes to help us!
We met Coşku at breakfast the next morning. She was just absolutely delightful! Even though she spoke barely any English and we spoke very little Turkish, language barriers melted away. We connected instantly like kindred spirits. Her warmth, kindness, and beautiful energy truly made our hearts sing and elevated our entire stay.
The rooms were highly functional and comfortable, featuring high-quality pillows, a full-size fridge, a kettle, and two cups. There wasn’t any coffee provided in the room, which was typical timing for us as we normally always pack our own when staying away, but forgot it this time! The windows have electronic shutters that block out the light. There was some loud music (from a local restaurant), and some dogs barking on the second night, but otherwise we slept well. There aren't many plug sockets & the lamps had no sockets nearby, so they seemed to be just for show, which was a shame since I love soft lighting!
Ultimately we had a brilliant stay ... fantastic comfort and the truest Turkish warmth. Coşku ♡ thank you
Much love Becky
