Host & Stay | The Old Smokey
Summary:
Set in the conservation area within the historic old quarters of Seahouses, this delightful cottage stands within a high walled private courtyard. Close to the harbour and village centre, plus with the benefit of private parking, The Old Smokey has two ensuite bedrooms along with an open plan living, kitchen and dining area with direct access onto a patio area. The property is a welcome and peaceful getaway just a stone's throw from the bustling harbour where boat trips head out to the Farne Islands and fishing boats land their daily catch.
The Space:
The Old Smokey is a welcoming and peaceful getaway set amid the bustling yet tranquil coastal village of Seahouses.
Upon entering the property, the open plan living, kitchen and dining area is directly ahead of you. If you enjoy cooking, you will love this space - it is fully equipped with an electric hob and oven, a dishwasher, a microwave, a kettle, a refrigerator, a toaster, and more.
The dining and living areas provide a good space to socialise, with plenty of seating available to accommodate all four guests. The two-seater sofas offer a cosy spot to relax and you can watch your favourite show on the large wall-mounted Smart TV.
The living room offers direct access to the shared courtyard with a small outdoor paved seating area. The French doors created a bright atmosphere but offer comfort with the use of internal wooden doors which create a relaxing setting at night.
Head upstairs and you’ll find The Old Smokey’s two bedrooms. Fully carpeted, the first bedroom boasts a king-size bed along with hanging space for your clothing. The calming interiors are perfectly complemented by the subtle touch of pink hues from the soft furnishings, creating a warm and cosy ambience.
The ensuite features a walk-in shower, a WC, and an oval mirror above the wash basin.
Not too far away is the second bedroom, which offers two single beds, fully carpeted flooring, and your own en-suite bathroom with scroll top bath, WC and basin with oval mirror above. Please note, there is no shower in this bedroom. The pale green, grey and white colour scheme create a cosy and homely feel. This bedroom features plenty of storage space for making yourself feel right at home, and French doors which open up to allow fresh Northumberland sea air to float into the space.
Guests can also take advantage of a separate WC on the ground floor, handy for families with young children and guests with limited mobility.
The Old Smokey is simply the perfect place to stay whether you're here alone, with friends and family, or even colleagues.
