"We were unable to access the accommodation: upon arrival, we found ourselves in front of code boxes, no response to calls to the owner between 4 PM and 5 PM, no calls from him despite the message left on voicemail in English, no email indicating the codes. In short, unable to leave 2 children in the blazing sun, we were forced to book another hotel and lose the money for this rental. The fault does not rest entirely with the owner; Epedia also shares some responsibility, as the emails received...

"The room was ideal for my work trip, clean, tidy and with plenty of space. The only downside was it isn’t clear on the hotels.com site that you have to go to the park hotel to check in and out. This is only a short walk and I was able to figure this out ahead of time by going on the city apartments website. "

"A place of pro's and con's... - location - middle of old town - very quiet and good location. - easy to access, key locker worked well - Flat had been well cleaned, EXCEPT for the toilet seat which had accumulated many months of yellow stain on both sides... needed cleaned properly with bleach/ anti-bacterial. The shower is also getting a little cold around it.. - The room was big enough for the double bed and sofa bed. However, no way would I try 4 people in there are the bathroom is so small...

"We were absolutely blown away by this apartment! What a stunning view of the lake. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay & we spent lots of time sitting out on the patio. Bed was very comfortable & we loved the wine/beer/water & chocolates that were left for us. It was such a nice touch for a perfect first stay in Switzerland. Loved being able to walk down to the beach area off the lake and the nearby town was very quaint. Would 100% recommend!!! "

"The Gubelhof Suites were perfect for our visit. We stayed in the large 1 bedroom and were provided with an extra bed in the living room as we were a group of three. Everything was top notch and the experience was fantastic. I highly recommend the property and would stay again in a heartbeat."

"This was a fantastic stay except for the following: Spoiled milk left in the fridge Dead flies all over the floor as well as other dirt upon arrival Construction noise and outhouse smell at certain times of the day We had to buy and replace batteries for the remote in the tv room No check in or check out instructions were provided so we had to keep texting the host for information"

"Check-in prima, wir konnten schon vor der vereinbarten Zeit in die Wohnung. Leider ist die Deckenhöhe extrem niedrig, Menschen mit über 1,80m müssen höllisch aufpassen, dass sie sich den Kopf an den Balken nicht stoßen. Für 2-3 Tage ok, wenn man sowieso hauptsächlich unterwegs ist. Bei längerem Aufenthalt sicherlich störend! "

"Die Wohnung ist für 2 Personen super. Alles vorhanden. Lage sehr zentral. Fahrt nach Zürich mit dem Bus "vor der Haustür" zu empfehlen. Kostenlose Parkplätze nur bedingt vorhanden (4 Stunden, nachts und sonntags) Längere Parkzeiten in den weißen Bereichen sind kostenpflichtig. Aber das ist Schweiz typisch und nicht nur bei dieser Wohnung. Wir haben jedenfalls immer einen Platz gefunden. "We booked the Double Room, Lake View and the scenery was stunning - a view down the Urnersee toward Flüelen with panorama back to Ingenbohl; at sunrise and sunset with clouds hovering (or a chance rainbow we saw) it was spectacular. The view and quiet were relaxing, sitting on the balcony or in the room. Dinner and breakfast were good, staff were very helpful. We walked to see the sites and bought fresh cheese at the 24-hour self-serve shop 5 minutes away, after enjoying our 2-hour boat ride from Lucerne to reach there. Highly recommended if you value mountain air and scenery."

"Such an incredible place. Enjoyed the spa at the sister hotel which was a beautiful 10 minute walk away. Literally right next to the funicular and a store where you can buy food essentials, souvenirs and hiking gear. The hotel is brand new and is impeccably clean. The restaurant is very good. Everything in Stoos is within walking distance—including the lifts to the tops of the mountain. If you stay here be prepared to love the tranquility and the sound of cowbells. "
