"Pros: Es gibt ganz viele Wandermöglichkeiten und man kann die Ruhe genießen Cons: Allerdings sollte ein Mindestmaß an elektr. Geräten vorhanden sein. Es gab einen Wasserkocher und 2 Kochplatten. Es gab leider keine Möglichkeit das Bad zu heizen. Als Sitzgelegenheit gab es nur 5 Stühle."

"Die Wohnung war nicht richtig sauber. Auf den Schränken ist es sehr dreckig. Steckdosen dreckig. Stühle dreckig und teilweise kaputt. Vorhänge riechen richtig muffig und sind gelb grau abgelaufen. Sehr hohe Energiekosten zusätzlich. Ohne Heizung teilweise nicht auszuhalten. Nagetiere in der Zwischendecke. Internet ist bei schlechtem Wetter eine Katastrophe. "Pros: Das Haus sieht noch schöner aus als auf den Bildern. Die Ausstattung ist überdurchschnittlich und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Viele Details im Interieur sind aufeinander abgestimmt und sorgen für eine richtige wohlfühl-Atmosphäre. Toller Außenbereich für den Hund. Für den Preis eine Traum - Ferienhaus. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Cons: Da gibt es absolut nicht :)"

"I recently stayed at Hotel Adler in Rudolstadt and was impressed by its unbeatable location—right in the city center, just steps from the main square, the train station, and the stunning baroque Heidecksburg Castle. The hotel is housed in a beautiful historic building dating back to 1880, which adds a lot of character and charm to the experience. The rooms are spacious, cozy, and tastefully decorated, reflecting the style of the period while still offering modern comfort. There is parking available, which is a great convenience if you’re traveling by car. One downside is that the rooms are not air-conditioned, which can be a bit uncomfortable in hot weather. However, given the age and style of the building, it’s understandable and didn’t detract too much from the overall experience. The staff is friendly, though they speak only German, which might be a bit challenging for non-German speakers. As for breakfast, it’s fairly basic—not outstanding, but perfectly adequate to start the day. Overall, Hotel Adler is a great choice if you’re looking to stay somewhere with character and a central location in Rudolstadt."

"Excellent location, city centre and ither points of interest walkable. Very clean. Comfy beds. Spacious room. Very friendly barman. Easy parking at the back of the hotel or in parkhaus hauptpost (25 eur per day) as car can only stay for 2 hours parked on the street for (ca. 4 euros). "

Schloss Weissenburg - misleading pictures

"I chose this hotel due to its idyllic look & since I was traveling with 4 colleagues, they all booked here too. On arrival, found out you don’t stay in the schloss, rather a very unattractive side building, freezing cold, tiny room. The restaurant was closed, another reason I had chosen this hotel was because it had a restaurant, nobody told us it would be closed. Very poor. The service was friendly at breakfast & that’s my reason for ranking this at okay. The lady was lovely & made our start to each day a pleasant one ."
