Creekside, spacious home for 8; 9 mi. Highlands, close Sky Valley, GA
At Wood Valley Falls, your family will be close to everything in Scaly Mtn. & Highlands, NC and Sky Valley & Dillard, GA when you stay at this centrally-located spacious home. The creek with more than one set of small falls beckons you to also be outside on the large deck or downstairs at the multi-level patio and firepit areas. The home borders National Forest on one side and NC Hwy 106/Dillard Rd on the other. There is plenty of shade and room for playing in the water, relaxing beside the stream or making S'mores in the evening. The three levels of en-suite bedrooms give everyone privacy but togetherness on the top floor. It's just a step outside to dine on the deck or sit on two creekside balconies. There is a standard 1772 EV charger and a Tesla adapter stored inside the house. Wood Valley Falls is in the mountains and sometimes there are delays or temporary interruptions in cell service.

We’ve stayed at this property before and live coming back . It is very convenient to sky valley golf, Clayton and highlands . The best part is the mini waterfall / creek next to the house . The basement was recently renovated and is very comfortable . Everything at the property is well maintained .
It’s a great home and the setting is great beside the small waterfalls ( somewhat drowned out by the traffic on the road)
Cell service is spotty but we managed (with the help of our hosts) . The entrance to the property is not evident at first but once you get in it is easy to find. About 20-25?minutes of winding road to get to town
The house was amazing. Spotless, well equipped with everything you would need, beds so comfortable, fluffy white towels, kitchen well equipped and tastefully decorated. The location was perfect - close to Clayton and Dillard. Grounds were so relaxing and beautiful. The house is big enough for extended family with spacious rooms and room to spread out. Pet friendly was greatly appreciated. We hope to stay there again. I would mention that there is some traffic noise but that quieted down around 10:30 and we had placed our Boston terrier's crate in our bedroom and her snoring totally drowned out the traffic noise. The noise was not bad at all but it was there. Hostess was amazing and readily available when needed. Great communication!! You will not be disappointed staying at this home.
Just right for us! Loved the creek, the quaintness and everything.
The only negative is the living room furniture
Not very comfortable but I would definitely stay here again
We really enjoyed staying here! You can hear the waterfall on/ Creek from the bedrooms and living room which was so peaceful to hear everyday. The house had plenty of space and privacy which we really appreciated. The house was decorated very nice and had plenty of space. We also liked how it was a close distance to the Highlands to go shopping and exploring. The house had all the essentials you needed as well and communication with the owner was successful and received quick responses. I will definitely be back! My family and I loved our vacation!
Overall we had an incredible experience. Check in was easy and property manager explain everything in detail and it was easy. The house was beautiful, clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The creek is a great addition to the place bc you can seat outside and listen or walk on it and feel the cool water and it was very relaxing. The location is perfect you are about 20 mins to the Highlands and about the same distance to other towns. We also were able to hike, see waterfalls like Dry Falls and it wasn’t far at all. Beautiful highly recommend. Also was very close to wedding location at the vineyard of high Holly which was beautiful. Thank you so much!
Our Christmas present to my husbands parents was a weekend trip to the mountains and Christmas lunch at the Dillatd house. It could not have been better. This home is beautiful and the outside falls are fantatic! Property manager is the best! We will be back.
I want to commend our property manager for the quick response to some repairs that were needed. The house accommodations were great for 3 couples and a grandchild. The beds were a bit hard for our taste. The kitchen needed some upgrading of supplies but we made do. Our stay was enjoyed going to Highland Outpost which was up the road.
First let me say that the house itself was clean and comfortable! Marilyn was proactive in her communication with us ahead of arrival. Check in was smooth, kitchen had necessities, rooms were spacious for our family of 4. There were a few quibbles (uncomfortably hard Master bed, fireplace wouldn’t ignite, no firepit) but we did not say anything to the owners so they didn't have an opportunity to correct. I believe they would have tried to address the issues had we spoken up. Biggest negative here was the road noise. The sound of the running creek was often drowned out by consistent, loud truck traffic. So if you're looking to recenter in nature and to relax outdoors, this is not the best location. Internet was also spotty which is fine if you're getting away from the grind but this wouldn't be the place to try to WFH or stream on multiple devices. If you want a convenient-ish to town and activity location that is clean and pretty comfortable then this is a great option. We are grateful to have gotten to stay.
