Great little place to stay in Saumur

She was not only very courteous but also gave us some great suggestions of things to visit and places to go eat. For our next stay, I would very much like to book the Louis the XIII room. It’s a fabulous place and Monique was delightful. It was like staying with a French relative. The only omission is no evening meal, but a good bistro nearby was recommended

Walked to Saumur along the river, which about 40 minutes into town. However, after 9pm no taxi options to take you back to the hotel. Great restaurant Au pot de lapin is closest and an excellent option. Le Grand Bleu in town is a great fish restaurant.

Een echt kasteel

Prachtige kamer met salon, haard, groot bed en veel kasten en boekenrekken, trapje af naar grote badkamer. Apart toilet. Geweldige suite dus, voor lage prijs. Je kan in het salon zitten, er is een biljartkamer... Ontbijten doe je aan een grote tafel met de andere gasten. Het vriendelijke onthaal wordt verzorgd door de dame des huizes met Ierse roots, en de efficiënte Monique. Je waant je even echte adel. Heerlijk verblijf.

Une nuit au chateau

Belle demeure située dans un parc et offrant un parking, intérieur d'époque meublé avec goût et habitée par les propriétaires. Vaste chambre au premier étage donnant sur le parc. Seul bémol la salle de bain mériterait quelques remises à niveau tant au niveau de la fermeture de la porte qu'un changement de WC ( sanibroyeur bruyant ). Petit déjeuner complet servi à la grande table d'hôtes.

Lieu bien placé, mais les chambres ne sont pas insonorisées et on a pas beaucoup dormi. Matelas très mou.... Sinon prés de Saumur sur la route des vins.

Un peu excentré cet hôtel est tenu par des propriétaires agréables assistés par Monique qui est très efficace. Un petit gastronomique est à quelques pas.
