I cannot say enough. Valerie and Deidre were incredible hosts. The few tiny issues were addressed and solved with minutes. The beds and en-suite bedrooms were lovely as were the pool, grounds, and common areas. The lively village of Sarlat was 6 minutes away. Make sure to ask Valerie to recommend the top sites and restaurants. All were excellent!!

10 days with family

We all had a great time visiting the local towns, The property is a 5-6 min drive to the town of Sarlat which is charming. We went to the market there and in Domme. Visited castles, gardens, caves and had good local food. Valerie cooked for us twice and a lovely meal was had as we sat in their garden. The pool was a hit with all as hot weather while we were there.

Luxurious and relaxing farmhouse.

We had a great holiday at Le Clos Vallis, staying at this secluded converted farmhouse just 10 minutes drive from Sarlat-la-Canéda. The hosts live on site and were available for help and advice at all times. The house itself has been beautifully restored and finished to a high standard making it a spacious and relaxing holiday retreat. The property also has electric car charging available with two 16kW chargers and this made trips out easier to plan, knowing that we could always charge the car on our return.

Fantastic family holiday at Clos Vallis

We had a wonderful stay at Clos Vallis. An extra special thanks to Valérie & Didier who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was even more perfect. The wifi on arrival sadly wasn't working due to the previous tenants who had accidentally pressed something wrong. Valérie & Didier were so quick to get it up running for us, which was a huge help as my son was needing to log on everyday to work on an essay. Didier was even so kind as to dispose of our many bottles at the bottle bank. As I say, they certainly went above and beyond which was greatly appreciated. Perfect hosts, who respond to any questions quickly and efficiently. I would score it more than 5* The house is immaculate, lovely dining areas both inside and outside, beautifully decorated bedrooms, which are very spacious with their own en-suite bathrooms. Plus a superb gas BBQ which we used quite a few times during our stay. Not forgetting the large heated pool - which was always the right temperature even for a night swim. I highly recommend staying here! We will be back. Thanks again Valérie & Didier!

Perfect stay

Valérie and Didier run this gîte so well. They are friendly and accommodating and answered questions very promptly. The property and pool are stunning and really comfortable. A morning walk to the local bakery is a must. We hope to go back!

Parfaitement conforme a la description

Propriété au calme, à quelques kilomètres de Sarlat. Très facile de s'y rendre en voiture en 5mn. Jolies chambres avec salle d'eau et WC séparés dans chaque chambre. Très bonne literie Rien à redire

Amazing stay

I wish I could give more than 5 stars to rate our stay at Clos Vallis. The house is very nice, very clean, and well equipped. The best part however is the owners, who are so nice, very communicative and around in case anything happened. We are already planning a return trip!

Gîte spacieux et calme

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans ce gîte : accueil chaleureux, gîte spacieux pour 2 familles, un agréable jardin avec une piscine privative, au calme. Gîte sur les hauteurs de Sarlat :la voiture est nécessaire pour se rendre dans le centre-ville. Nous recommandons cette location.

Excellent and thoroughly enjoyed. Surpassed all expectations for our family holiday with the exceprion that we were surprised to find that the property was slightly away from the town. Perhaps our reading of original material was wrong. This did not become a problem as we had a vehicle which is an essential element for a stay at this wonderful place
