Family Trip

Jeff was a great host. We had to contact him with two questions (trash removal and pool question) and he got back to us in a very short time. The house atmosphere is very relaxing and is located in a very central area for gong to beaches, shopping, eating out and (most importantly to us) visiting Granny! Thanks, Jeff!

Exactly as promised

The property was as described with all the amenities you would ever need. Basically felt like you were in your own home with all supplies, accessories and things you would need.

Great Family Spot

Close to downtown Sarasota and Siesta Key Beach.Open floor plan with three bedrooms and a kids bunk room. Outdoor space includes a well-maintained pool and deck, nice views of a canal that may be accessed with two kayaks.

Fabulous

This was a fabulous house in a great area. Short drive to the beaches and restaurants. The house was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for a great Florida vacation. We had two 21 year olds and a 17 year old and we all had a great time with the kayaks, pool table and especially the pool. A pool is always high on our list when renting a vacation home and this one definitely did not disappoint. It’s large and clean and we used it every day of our stay. Would definitely rent this home again!

Technical difficulties and damage claim reported on us

It was a nice house with a decent location. Beautiful view of the dock and bay, but could not catch fish. Very nice pool. Short drive to siesta key beach. Some things that were not too appealing was the cords to the tvs and cables were exposed which is very dangerous for little kids. The WiFi didn’t work half the time, the owners were responsive to this and contacted the company several times but a lot of the trouble shooting we did. Along with the cable didn’t work for 5 days out of our trip, which direct tv was contacted also but we got it working on night 5.. the washer stopped working on night 6 and we had to wring out all of our clothes to dry them. We also noticed that the dryer was tearing up all our thin clothes, such as 5 pair of my underwear. 2 of my new swim suits (their strings snapped). And 1 of my mother in laws swim suit strings.. after telling the owners about the issues we had with the washing unit I was told that it was a new unit, which it didn’t appear as that but I’ll take their word for it. We traveled with a very elderly dog that is blind and deaf, on my part I mistakenly didn’t click that we had a pet because I didn’t see it, so we were not charged a pet fee. I got a message later on after the stay asking if we had a dog because they found a dried pee spot on their rug, I offered to gladly pay the pet fee at that time. I later on got a damage claim notification for the washer unit (not our fault), and pet stain which was our fault.

Some unwanted guests… but still a slice of paradise!

Overall we had a wonderful weeklong stay at this beautiful home with a stunning waterfront view on the canal. The outdoor space and view cannot be beat. The owners are great to talk to and were extremely accommodating to all of our needs, even before we booked our stay. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. However, we did see several roaches in the finished garage space/game room and master bath. The owner immediately had pest control come out but we continued to see them. Hopefully this problem is under control for them soon because it was literally the only thing wrong our entire stay. Everything else was perfect. It sounds like the owners are very much on top of this, so don’t let it deter you. Just be on the lookout! The pool took some work on our part to get clean upon arrival due to a previous storm, but we understood the lapse in pool services were not something the owners could control. The pool water was warm. Our kids enjoyed fishing in the canal and even saw an alligator several times and a manatee! The beaches were beautiful - we found many nice shells at turtle beach and enjoyed the beauty of Siesta Beach. We had an amazing week and pending the pest control issue, we hope to return again!

Spring Break 2024 was a success thanks to this great spot

This house had everything we needed and more. The owner even made some additional purchases to ensure their were some beach chairs available to use. The location was perfect if you don't mind staying on the mainland. The boys rented bikes and had a short ride to the beach. If the drawbridge was down, we were able to drive to Crescent beach in about 6 minutes. The gated property made it feel very secure and private. I had worried about being on the corner of two roads but there was very little traffic. We caught some catfish right off the dock and saw plenty of other fish and birds. The pool , grill, and patio, along with the dock made the back yard a wonderful hangout spot. Owners were very responsive leading up to the trip and we only had to reach out once during the trip for something very minor and they responded immediately. Book with confidence.

Fantastic!!!

We love this property !! So peaceful and relaxing here!! We enjoyed kayaking and The pool was amazing…Nice and warm.. the bbq area was great for family cookouts!! We will definitely return soon!!

Perfect Fit

Property is just as advertised and is well maintained. The property owner is very accessible. The house is conveniently located near Siesta Key Beach and downtown Sarasota. It’s also a nice size and has a nice setup for entertaining.

Perfect location and home!

The house was a lot bigger inside then the pictures depict. It was clean and absolutely a beautiful location. The kids loved seeing all the fish that swam by and we even saw jelly fish. The pool was the place to be and had a great umbrella we could use for shade! Having the home gated in felt safe with having the children running around. It was only 6 min from the siesta key beach access and 18 min to st Armand’s circle which had lots of shops, and arcade, and restaurants. Just a little further than that was the Mote aquarium and it was an awesome experience for our 5 year old. The owner was very kind and responsive and we would definitely recommend and stay again!

Super Siesta getaway

Had a wonderful stay with the family. Such a lovely property. The house was as advertised. All the amenities were great and the pool was the perfect place to cool off from the hot sun. We also enjoyed playing bocce and hanging out on the dock watching all the creatures by the canal. Would stay here again.
