The VRBO was not clean when we arrived. Also, kitchen items were put away in the drawers that were never cleaned and were in poor condition.

The rental was exactly as listed. Location is a short walk to the beach and having the pool was a bonus. We loved it. Sitting out back or in the front yard both gave you the sense of privacy with lush landscape. We will definitely stay again.

Wonderful!

Property was pristinely clean. We enjoyed the pool. Bed comfortable and enough room for a family of 6 to have enough space. Quick walk to beach. One minor incident when the dryer stopped working, but the office had it fixed in less than 24 hours and were very helpful. This was our favorite vacation yet! Will book again.

Loved it

Impressed with the cleanliness which is very important to me. Even the front and back yards were immaculate! Location is great and privacy superb especially for a corner lot. My only suggestion would be to provide complete beach equipment, otherwise - perfect! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Perfect beach bungalow for small family

Everything was as stated for our rental. It was the perfect size and space for my wife and two kids, age 11 & 7. Location being a block from beach access was great. An easy walk back and forth with beach gear on a cart. The small pool was a homerun for our two kids. It's small but deep enough that the kids enjoyed daily. It was perfect for morning and evening entertainment for the kids. The location is pretty quiet and the north end shops and restaurants are a short 3 min golf cart/drive. Same for shopping on the southern end of AMI. We couldn't have been happier with our stay and would love to come again.

Great house and location

The house was perfect for our family of four. It was very clean and seems to have been updated recently which was very nice. The front and back yards with the artificial turn was fantastic and much cleaner to have our dog outside with us. The pool, while small, was great for cooling off and relaxing. Finally, the location was great and central to many island attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

First and last VRBO experience

We were scheduled to arrive week after Ian. I called before Ian asking for guidance as I had vehicle and a hotel reserved as well for this trip. Agency said they would communicate with me throughout week. Day before we headed out I had not heard from anyone so I left message at emergency phone number explaining I needed to know what to do….no response. Next morning I received check-in info so I thought surely this is agencies response to my inquiry, so we left from SC. After traveling all day, and already in FL, hours before checking in I received a phone call stating we could not be accommodated and could be rescheduled for following year. I couldn’t believe it! No communication as promised until too late. I requested a full refund. Took a chance and called another agency on island and they had an available house, same price but much bigger. Won’t go thru VRBO again, never know who stands behind it

Little retreat in Anna Maria Island

The company made sure to reach us for checking in instructions, the chexk in process was seamless, the property clean and the location good. The only issue we had was the pool door alarm which came off the wall in the middle of the night and would not stay in place...so after multiple attempts we had to cut the wire..

Great Location

This property has a great location Holmes beach. The overall condition of the property is good. Recently renovated baths and kitchen. There were some issues, though. First, we arrived after 4 pm and the cleaning staff was still in the property . Not only that, the cleaning that was done was superficial, at the best. Also this is duplex unit and there is no privacy in he backyard between the 2 units (only some small palms dividing the 2 duplexes). The unit is not stocked. For example the was only salt and coffee on the pantry for cooking. No cleaning products, no paper towels, vacuum, or even a broom to sweep the floors; this is a beach rental after all. During the week we needed to at least sweep the floors so we bought a broom, paper towels, and lysol to clean the day we arrived. We left it for the benefit of the next guests. The baths had only 1 bar soap in each, so there were no hand soaps in the vanities. Again we bought and left them for the benefit of the next guests. In the era of Covid you need more of this items in the units. As off beach items in the unit, there were only 3 beach chairs, in extremely poor condition, full of sand when we found them, in a closet that was very dirty. The great location and the overall good condition of the unit construction obviously made the over all experience a good one. And of course Anna Maria Island is a great place to visit and unwind for a week.

Pleasant Stay

Overall, our stay at this location was fine. There was some confusion concerning the property being a duplex vs a single family home. We don't recall the Vrbo listing saying the property was a duplex, which it was. In the end, that turned out to not be a big deal. We actually parked in the wrong driveway when we arrived, and worked out the confusion with the other renter. Otherwise, there were some minor issues with the rental home including: Only one key was originally provided, and it only opened the front door, not the back. A few lights were burned out, the toilets did not properly flus (had to hold the handle down). I temporarily fixed one toilet, since it would not fill with water. Most of the electrical outlets in the living room and bedrooms were outdated, and not able to accommodate 3 pronged plugs. Given the house was nearly concealed by abundant vegetation/plants, there were persistent spiders and large webs to navigate in front of the home. Finally, there was a very strong smell of rotting trash coming from somewhere in the backyard that made it unbearable to sit on the back patio. We think the smell was coming from another rental property, so it was out of our control. With that said, there were several positives, including: the location was great, both a short walk to the beach and close to Anna Maria Island Trolley stops, the AC and hot water worked well, and it was a big bonus to have a washer/drier at the house. Note: the free trolley on the island was a great service, and was how we did most of our traveling during the week! Also, I believe I called the management company 2 or 3 times within the first few days concerning the above issues (except for the toilets), and each time the response was quick and they solved the issue. Overall, I would recommend this location.. Comments not directly related to the property/owner: I was not pleased with the amount of added fees that were tacked onto the property rental price during the booking process. The property rental fee alone seemed reasonable, but the added fees (cleaning, pet, vrbo fee, taxes, etc.) added about 40-45% to the base price! The bill itemization was a bit misleading and even hard to follow, and seemed that I paid more than was originally advertised.

Perfect location!

Old Florida charm. Very clean! Tastefully updated bathrooms! This property is situated within walking distance from the beach and a short drive from restaurants. Awesome maytag washer and dryer. The only drawbacks are the unappealing back yard and lack of privacy.

Clean and beautiful!

We had a wonderful week! The house was very clean with lots of towels - better than some of the 'professional' property managers. We loved the decor. Excellent A/C, washer/dryer, TV. Only a short walk to the beach. Highly recommend!
