Loved loved the unit and AMI!! The water, beach and sunset were awesome. Every restaurant we went to had great food and the Creamery ice cream shop was the best!! I will be back!!

Great Week

Wife, dog, and I enjoyed a great week in Anna Maria Island. The house was very clean and had everything we needed including beach chairs which we rinsed off after using. Great location only a block to the beach. We enjoyed the great restaurants on the island including Harry’s, Slims, and of course Skinny’s for a great burger. We look forward to returning in the fall.

Great Location

The property is in a fantastic location. You are a 1 minute walk to the beach, but off of the main road running through the island. My only complaints are that there were no beach chairs at the property, and the older windows allowed quite a bit of noise in when vehicles passed by.

Loved everything about our stay!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Island Getaway. It’s a beautiful house in a wonderful Holmes Beach location very close to the beach. Great care has been taken to make this house ideal for guests. The decor is delightful and so well done. We didn’t want for anything. Our only suggestion would be to replace the two silver saucepans which are hard to cook with and clean since they are very stained and not non-stick. Loved the turtle motif! Loved the kitchen! Loved the pool and outside cabana! Loved the large bathrooms and bedrooms! We would be delighted to stay here again in the future and we thank the owners for allowing us to relax in their fabulous Island Getaway.

The apartment has a good size for a family of 4, it was pretty much what we needed. Good location. However I think there could be more kitchen utensils as well as a rice maker, sandwich press, etc. The bathroom sink needs repair, for the water to drain you have to hold up the bottom piece. But other than that we enjoyed very much the stay.

just ok for what we paid for.

Air was not working, the kitchen drawers fell when opened, and the kitchen door to the patio was full of wholes where we had to close with towel paper until the handyman came the next day and put tape around it so that the mosquitoes would not come in. The large tree by the garage was letting go of these flowers that would get stuck to our cars and our shoes and got in the floor of the house and we had to continuously clean it. We had family in the next block and we wanted to be close to them. This is why we stayed there. .

Comfortable & Convenient Duplex

We enjoyed staying in the New Heron....comfortable and convenient to the beach (5 minutes), to good dining and to shopping. We were able to walk to many of the places we wanted to go. Great. Also having beach chairs in garage was an added extra. The only issue we encountered was the toilet overflowed underneath and a new wax ring had to be installed. And perhaps the biggest surprise was that the New Heron is a duplex....The patio out back was nice but not as private as we would have liked with sound of neighbors adjacent to us being quite apparent. All in all, an enjoyable stay.
