The staff were remarkable and very friendly. The taxi drivers gave good security advises and answered patiently any question of first time visitors. Breakfast was absolutely All in all: as it should be for a joyful visit in Sao Paulo.

The Staff it's great, the hotel at the price also great, my only complain its the amount of times that the room gets cleaned, they don't do it every day, not a big deal though, other than that everything was perfect!!

Rio Hotel is a good hotel with everything you would need, but without a lot of frills. The rooms are small and just basic amenities. Barra Funda, though a safe neighborhood and not terribly located, it mostly industrial and does not have great transit access, so you will have to do most things outside the neighborhood and use ride share to get there. The staff was super nice though and they had great breakfast.

Solid 3 star hotel

This is a decent hotel and I would rate it a solid 3 stars. I had booked 2 stays here for this month but cancelled the second booking and shifted to another hotel. Here are the reasons I cancelled the second booking: 1. The location is convenient if you need to be in the area, otherwise there is nothing around including limited restaurants. 2. I ordered room service once. The quality was not the best and the toasted bread was soggy. 3. There is no coffee or tea in the room which I would expect from a true 4 star. 4. There are no towels in the gym which I would expect from a 4 star. 5. The amenities in the bathroom are very basic with no hand lotion even. Again, 3 star at best. Other than that it is a clean and functional hotel. I would stay there if I had an event right in the area but not for any other reason.

Gostamos da localização, de como tudo é limpo e organizado. O que mais nos impressionou foram as pessoas que trabalham lá. A Jane nos tratou muito bem, tão atenciosa e paciente com nossos pedidos. Elias também nos serviu bem e conseguiu achar um pudim delicioso que estávamos querendo. O André foi muito gentil, atencioso e nos tratou super bem nas 2 semanas que estivemos por lá. Obrigada a vocês por tudo. O calor não ajudou muito mas a academia de ginástica poderia ser mais moderna e com um ar condicionado mais forte já que é no último piso. A água do chuveiro do nosso segundo quarto também não estava ficando quente e isso foi um pouco incômodo para tomar banho de manhã cedo. Mas com certeza voltaríamos lá e recomendarei pra quem estiver passando por São Paulo.

Fomos colocados em um quarto acessível para pessoas com deficiência em que o colchão era extremamente duro. Absurdamente desconfortável. Tivemos que ficar por 4 noites pois era o único tipo de quarto que o hotel disponibilizava colocar uma cama extra para criança. Sugerimos até um colchão no chão em outro quarto e não permitiram. Para trocar teríamos que dormir em 3 na cama. Além disso as toalhas em dois dias vieram extremamente velhas, poídas, uma com etiqueta do Ibis Hotel.
