Overall it was enjoyable and we liked the room, location. The WiFi didn’t work well and there was only one comfortable lounger which was annoying as we could not both relax. The room also looked worn in places. The service was efficient and friendly and we appreciated the early check-in.

Our host was very kind and helpful! Gave us an overview of the room during check in. Also provided a lot of guidance on check in and getting to location. Helped with our luggage, gave us great tips for food and activities around the area, and was there present when check out. The only downside was that the wifi does not work in our room, so the smart tv can’t be used. We didn’t mind, but I’d encourage looking into this for other fellow travelers:)

My first visit to Santorini included a stay at Twenty One Suites, a small property with only three rooms. Unfortunately, the experience began on a stressful note due to the lack of a clear check-in process or front desk. This made finding the property difficult, especially in the heat having to go up and down the Caldera. With some assistance, we eventually located the suites. We opted for private transportation from the airport to the suites, as arranging it directly through the accommodation was almost double the price. Upon arrival, it became clear that the online photos did not fully match the reality. The suites were less private than expected; they share a courtyard, and the sunbeds are placed on a staircase rather than directly in front of the rooms. Additionally, the courtyard opens to a public path, resulting in frequent foot traffic from tourists taking photos, which detracts from the privacy. On the positive side, the location offers stunning views of Oia, capturing the iconic scenery that Santorini is famous for. The rooms themselves are spacious, and it’s only a 10-15 minute walk to the center of Oia and nearby supermarkets. The private jacuzzi in the suite was a nice feature, though by the end of our stay, the strong chlorine smell had permeated our belongings. The room wasn’t cleaned as thoroughly as expected, and there were small insects and baby geckos present. Bedding and towels were only changed when requested multiple times.

Optimalt läge och utsikt

Hotellet ligger helt perfekt i Oia. Otrolig utsikt. Fina moderna rum. Det som drar ner upplevelsen är att AC:n inte var helt optimal, det var svårt att få rummet svalt på kvällarna och nätterna. En annan sak som vi inte förstod när vi bokade hotellet var att utepoolen inte ligger i anslutning till rummen, vi trodde att varje pool var i direktanslutning till rummen. Men poolerna ligger på en liten egen platå och inte direkt ut från entredörr eller altandörr.

SERIOUS COMPLAINT & THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN LIFE

I paid €400 for a night. Expecting a lot. But this property ruined my whole trip experience. Not assigning booking room type, as the room is not occupied, but under renovation. they shouldn’t release the availability at the beginning. As mentioned that the renovation is not only 1 room, it would be all 3 rooms together, dust were everywhere, strong smell and super dirty. WIFI was not working at ALL, when we stay in the cave, even 4G/5G internet was blocked as well, we mostly open the door or sit outside the room for internet. USB electric socket is not functioning. All of the above were just little things compare to the following happened. As I mention that the whole property was under renovation. At almost midnight 23:15 exhaust fan stopped, but the room was filled with nasty smell like Formaldehyde or Thinner, I was woken up at around 01:30 by the strong pungent odor. We open the door at the middle of the night to just breathe, had a thought of sleep in the car instead. After several hours of torment, suddenly a huge explosion sound was made which startled us, it was too scary for us the found out the reason at 03:00 night. (A bottle of water explode in fridge, we found on morning) After all night long, I had a moment where I felt I was going to die under the breathing the formaldehyde smell all night long. I AM HIGHLY complaint to this hotel & HOTEL.COM should never work with such property to influence your word of mouth.
