"Hadn't been there in a while but hotel and staff were great. Only problem has always been the shower: glass doors are too small and the shower floor so low that the water goes all over the bathroom floor. Still remember this same problem from years ago and it has not been firxed."

"Beautiful property in a fantastic location. I highly recommend staying at this historic hotel when visiting Santo Domingo. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, and they offer free parking, which is hard to find in a central location. I think the rooms should be upgraded. While our room was attractive, the toilet and sink were outdated, and the toilet had a crack in the neck. The toilet seat was also too small for the toilet. Additionally, the air conditioner needs to be updated. I notice the unit does not go below some specific temperature. It’s quite noisy early in the morning, and you can hear people talking outside the hall door, likely because of inadequate door seals. Otherwise, I will recommend it."
