"Love Monchique resort & spa, clean, staff are very welcoming especially Pedro the guest relations manager. Very big room with 2 bathrooms & a great view with a terrace. Full amenities in the room just missing a washing machine for the clothes. 2 pools & a gym with fitness classes. Beautiful surroundings, great hotel, I would definitely suggest it or even go back, thank you Monchique resort & spa, we loved our stay the Pereira family!"

"Lovely stay at the guesthouse. The staff are absolutely brilliant and a testament to the hotel, they could not be more accommodating to us. It was a lovely hotel to stay in. The only slight downside for us was that noise seemed to carry into our room from the dining area and kitchen. We were situated directly opposite from this area but nonetheless it was only a small matter that we could cope with. All in all, it was a great stay for us, in a great location and I would definitely recommend to others. "

"Great stay here! Host was really helpful with instructions. Easy check-in. Air con worked great, pool was lovely. The kitchen had all the appliances/utensils you would need. Only suggestion would be to have salt, pepper and olive oil perhaps for guests to use"

"beautiful view but very little staff in each villa only available at the main reception which is a 7 minute walk uphill difficult for someone that’s less mobile and older and didn’t get the room we originally booked but view was beautiful as was the spa for the price"

"Not sure where to begin, however this is now a special place to me and my partner. We visited 2 years ago - absolutely loved everything about it and during this visit I proposed to her here. The place itself is like a small villa and the location is fairly remote, be aware the drive up to get to this property isn’t for the feint of heart… especially with a rental car. It definitely adds to the experience of being remote but take your time and it’s not too bad. The room is spacious and the bathrooms are very nice. The showers have rainfall shower heads and there is a window right beside the shower - if you get lucky (rooms 5/6/7/8) they face west, so you can shower as the sun sets beside you. Each room is equipped with an air conditioning unit, so you can adjust the temperature to your liking. Beds are comfy, pillows are soft, nothing to worry about with comfort. The pool and outdoor spaces are what makes this place unique. The infinity pool is amazing and there are plenty of loungers and umbrellas for all. The hike that you can go on is awesome, bring some water and you’ll be fine. It takes you to a very quiet and remote part of a river with the option to kayak/canoe (you have to ask and pay first though). The staff during my stay were all very lovely but there was one in particular that went above and beyond. I forget his name (sorry!) however he was there the entire time we were there and was always smiling and ensured we had everything. Thank you! "

"It was very peaceful setting to spend three days just relaxing up in the Highlands. You definitely need some form to reach the hotel and if you want to eat out in the evening the nearest restaurant was about a 1/2 mile away. It was a bit too cool to use the pool, but it sure looked inviting."
