My husband, two sons (ages 10 & 13) and I traveled to Santa Barbara for a week in April. The 3 bedroom 1 bath house was perfect for us. Ocean views from the kitchen, bedroom and deck. Lovely quiet neighborhood one block from shoreline park. Went walking, running there every day. 10 minute walk to shoreline beach; 15 minute walk to lead better beach. Weather was a little cooler than normal but great jeans and t shirt weather. The boys explored and threw rocks on the beach.
Location was perfect. I was worried it would be too far from town but it was only a 5 minute drive to lower state street and sterns wharf. 10 minutes to upper end of state street or the mission. We loved the quiet beautiful neighborhood with the mountains and ocean nearby. Staying downtown would have been closer for lunch and dinner but too noisy and crowded at night for our family. We had relaxing mornings hanging out at the house and then headed to downtown or out on day trips - Ojai, wine country, Santa Barbara food tour, etc.
Bryan’s bungalow was very clean, well stocked (towels, tissues, aluminum foil, pots, pans, condiments, wine openers, etc.). It was so organized and had lots of space to store our clothes and luggage. Beds were very comfortable. Our 10 year old enjoyed sleeping in the fold out chair in the study.
Such a gem - both the city and the house!
