"We only stayed one night on a stop over so didn't see much but the bar seemed cozy. The room was spacious and clean. The kids absolutely loved the small kids room with treehouse bunkbeds."

"The staff from Holly on reception and bar and restaurant through to the Taps bar and breakfast staff were all excellent and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The place was in good condition and had attractive bar and restaurant areas, as well as rooms and waiting areas. You have to park across the road but it’s not expensive. I’d recommend the Taps bar on a Monday, if you are a cask ale drinker £3 per pint!"

"this was a sports pub with rooms not a hotel. No breakfast available( which wasn’t made clear on booking) and no heating in bedroom in the morning. Room was fine if uninspiring and good refreshment tray for hot drinks."

"Room was lovely and very quiet considering the location. We were in a second floor room and the ceiling was a bit low for my 6'4" partner but everything was perfectly clean and very very comfortable. Not being able to get breakfast as the pub didn't open until half an hour after check out on a sunday was a bit of a pain. Luckily close to a few cafe's and other options so we managed. No option to store luggage that we were told about but we were only there a night so not really an issue for us and in fairness we didn't ask. We had dinner at the pub and it was good but the service was a little slow- it did seem to be very very busy so we might have just had bad luck. I did manage to break my foot after bumping into the end of the bed during the night so maybe keep a light handy and watch where you're going like I obviously didn't!!"

"Was not in or near a national park.House was clean. Ceramic tiles on sitting room floor (very cold). Seating in front room comfortable. Only light is overhead light, no lamps. Bed linen insufficient, very thin (about 1 inch) top cover which only covered the flat surface of the bed. 3 old pillows on each double bed. Mattresses very uncomfortable. Shower erratic, either scalding or freezing. Very difficult to find a stable acceptable temperature.Kichen had minimal crockery and glassware. "
