I got wet in the tent, it was repaired the next day. The food was very tasty,game drives not so sucsessfull .
Das Jackalberry liegt wunderschön in der Wildnis. Man hat eine unglaublich tolle Aussicht über die Ebene und sieht über den Tag sehr viele Tiere.
Bei den Game Drives kann man natürlich noch viele Tiere mehr beobachten - unser Guide Robson fuhr uns stets sicher, entspannt und umsichtig durch den Park! Dazu gab er uns viele interessante Informationen zu Fauna und Flora.
Die Unterkunft an sich ist jeweils ein geräumiges, festes Zelt mit allem, was man so braucht. Da die Stromversorgung über Solar (nachts Batterien) läuft, muss man hier mit nur einer Steckdose, keinem Fön und heißem Wasser (Tee, Kaffee) aus der Thermoskanne zurecht kommen. Die Zelte werden jeden Tag gereinigt und es gibt einen Turn-Down-Service.
Das Frühstück war immer sehr gut und reichhaltig.
Auch das Abendessen war stets lecker, abwechslungsreich und reichlich.
Tagsüber gibt es Kekse, Kaffe und Tee.
Das Personal: unglaublich aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend! Top!
An unserem Anreisetag war wettertechnisch "Land unter" - es hat ohne Ende geregnet. Mit unserem 4x4 Auto konnten wir die Nkasa Lupala Lodge erreichen, von wo wir (vorher abgesprochen) einen Guide als Vor-Fahrer bekamen. Der weitere Weg zum Jackalberry war tatsächlich sehr speziell. Dazu muss man sagen: Während der Regenzeit steht das Gras über den Wegweisern und bei diesem Regen war an Sicht nicht zu denken. Trotz der Widrigkeiten kann man die Strecke mit dem eigenen Auto bewältigen. Die Rückfahrt bei Sonnenschein war komplett einfach.
