Sandakan Memorial Park

This hotel did the job for one night before I joined a tour. The staff were very friendly, my suitcase had been taken in before I even realised it was out the taxi! I stayed on a saturday night and there was live music in the street until about 10pm, something to be aware of if that bothers you. The walls seem quite thin also. For me it wasn't really an issue for one night.

An exceptional four-star hotel that truly exceeded my expectations. The service is outstanding from start to finish. The staff at reception, as well as the team in the breakfast area, are exceptionally professional, attentive, and welcoming. The entire hotel is impeccably clean, beautifully maintained, and clearly cared for to a very high standard. The breakfast selection is impressive, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious dishes to suit every taste. The food is continuously replenished, so everything remains fresh and beautifully presented. There is something for everyone. The restaurant by the pool is also highly recommended. Both lunch and dinner were delicious, with excellent food and a lovely atmosphere. The pool area is very well maintained, with clean towels always available and the floors being cleaned regularly throughout the day. This was my second stay at the hotel, and once again, I was very pleased with the overall experience. I will definitely be returning again in the future.A wonderful place to stay with excellent service, cleanliness, and attention to detail. Highly recommended!

The airport transport was nearly one hour late... There instruction was to send me the license plate with no further comments. Another guy at the airport explained it to me and looked for my taxi. (the driver didn't get out of the car and helped me at all) At the hotel the gave me a rm which I couldn't log the door, due to the fact I was the only guest, I felt safe. In the evening the following day I recognized that somebody stole my money. The owner didn't care at all and wanted me to pay the dinner and transport. I told him that all my money were stolen and that breakfast and dinner is included. He didn't respond. The last night at this resort I felt very unsafe and unwelcomed.
