Cozy home in great location

Our family of three and our dog had a lovely visit in this cozy home. It is located close to a park and a dog-friendly Beach. Beautiful views off of the front deck. Downtown shops and restaurants are only a couple minute minutes away by car. The house was clean and provided all that we needed for a 4-day stay.

Listen to the waves breaking

House and neighborhood was as advertised. Single level home was important to us and the house was very clean showcasing the owners delightful paintings. Its location was great for hikes on the beach and Fiscalini Ranch and close to the quaint town of Cambria. Our ten day stay was just not enough. We will definitely return

Temporary home away from home

Stayed at tge house while replacing floors in my nearby house. Conveniently located around the corner. My 80+ year old mother and my two dogs were comfortable there. Wonderful Sunset viewing and even a rain storm.

Enchanting getaway

This place had all the amenities of home with a stunning ocean view. We were treated to wild deer, turkeys and a huge flock of pelicans almost daily.we will definitely come back.

Perfect Spot

What can I say!? Perfect spot for us…family of four plus pup. We loved this house with amazing views of ocean, backyard lounging, deck, and nice bedrooms. We were impressed by the peaceful neighborhood, proximity to the beach, and comfort of house. Highly recommend.

Peaceful in Park Hill

The best parts of this house are the location and open floor plan. It’s close to the ranch and also the water. The beds were very comfortable. When we first arrived it appeared on the surface to be pretty clean but after a couple days we noticed it could really use a deep cleaning. Oven was not clean and trash barrels were overflowing when we arrived so storage of a weeks worth of trash was an issue. Also no facial tissue was provided so you’ll need to bring your own. We come to Cambria 3-4 times a year and all the other homes which were less expensive provided some sort of welcome basket with wine and/or chocolates but not the case with this home. We’re on the fence if we would stay again.

Birthday get-a-way to Cambria

We loved the location and the house was mostly great. It needs some updating, for sure. The BBQ needs to go to the dump and get a new one. We had planned to BBQ, but it was not an option. We pulled some blankets out one evening to cover us on the couch for a movie and we all started sneezing and coughing from the dust coming off the blankets. The chairs on the deck where filthy and we never used them. Seems like the place had bee sitting for some time and could use a little love. Mattresses could use upgrading,, etc. We did enjoy and would book again, but the house does beg for some upgrades.

Great Location

We took my parents here to celebrate my Dad's 70th birthday. Loved the location in a quiet neighborhood. The views were great and we could hear the waves from the living room which was very relaxing. You could also watch the sunset from the living room. If you walk down to the end of the street there is a cute green space with benches to enjoy the ocean and views up close. Moonstone Beach and Main St. were just a few minutes away which made eating out easy. Lots of options for food and more scenic views. Also, very close to wineries like Hearst Ranch and the Elephant Seal Viewpoint. The house was clean and worked nicely for us. We found all the beds comfy and there were lots of extra blankets.

Could be a great place.

Everything stated in the listing is spot on. Perfect location, great views, 3 bedrooms 2 baths, WIFI, etc. It was very clean and well stocked. We stayed for 2 weeks and would have appreciated more "unpacking" room. Most of the drawers were filled with extra blankets and/or towels. The closet was wide open so most of stuff just got hung up. Hard to hang underwear and shorts however. All the beds squeaked and creaked. If you are a light sleeper, you will resent your partners tossing and turning. There is not a single smart device in the house. Hundreds of DVD's but if you want to stream anything, bring something to connect to. The absolute worst is the couch. It is the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I have ever sat on. We called it Ouch the Couch. We eventually had to bring the two chairs in from the master bedroom to sit on. We didn't need to pull out the couch mattress, but I cannot imagine that it would be comfortable to sleep on. All in all it is a nice place. If the owner put a little money into the place it "could" be a great place. I think with a short term rental of 2 or 3 days none of that stuff would have mattered, but for two weeks, they made it less than comfortable. Last word of advise...the bungee cords on the trash cans... make sure you leave them on. Otherwise the critters get in them and make a giant mess.

Fantastic weeklong stay

Walking through the front door of this lovely home, we were struck by the stunning unimpeded 180-degree view of the coastline, and the sounds of the surf that could lull us to sleep at night. This house has a variety of spots to enjoy the advantages of coastal living - with a long balcony off the living room, and a deck off the bedrooms, leading to a lower patio that is perfect for sunning and reading while protected from ocean breezes. The home was immaculate when we arrived. We appreciated that the decor and flooring made it easy to keep clean (especially because we stayed with our two dogs). There were many appreciated amenities - thick towels, cozy gas fireplace, plentiful outdoor furnishings for lounging, and binoculars and a scope to observe the sea life - including our favorite, which were the pelicans plunging into the water to feed. The location of the home couldn’t be more perfect. It is a 5-7 minute easy drive to town for dining, shopping, and pickle ball (beautiful courts with nary a soul on them in the afternoons). The home is in a peaceful well-established neighborhood (although we noticed a few ongoing renovations, so a quick inquiry could be in order if you find that sort of thing bothersome). We enjoyed the home as a hangout for lazy days staying locally and enjoying what Cambria has to offer (including a visit to the interesting Cambria Cemetery). It was also a great jumping off base for day trips to San Simeon, Morro Bay, wineries in Templeton, and hiking in Avila, Shell and Pismo Beach. The property management company was responsive, and the owner warm in welcoming us and making himself directly available for questions or assistance. We have had many great experiences at VRBO properties, and this was amongst the highest tier of the list!

Great location with ocean views!

My two dogs and I really enjoyed our stay here. 2 blocks from the ocean, a dog beach nearby, nice dog-friendly hiking trails nearby. The house was very spacious for us and clean. Enjoyed watching the sunset from the deck, as well as, hanging out on the deck/patio. Location is in a good neighborhood too. We saw deer a couple of times. Check-in/Check-out was easy. Wonderful stay!

Amazing location and views but needs some updating

This house was perched on a hill, giving it amazing views of the ocean! It was also a short walk to an amazing beach and short drive from town. However we were a bit let down by the age of furnishings, fixtures and electronics. If the owners updated these, it would turn an okay stay into an amazing one.

Prettier view than pictures show

I was surprised by the amazing view, the pictures don’t do it justice. Nice, easy stay. Not sure if this is standard but they supplied items I assumed I would need to bring (hand soap, bath toiletries, paper towels, dish sponge and liquid plus laundry detergent). One thing to note is that they don’t have a pack n play or high chair for babies, so bring your own. And the deck railing has a gap under so just watch your kids closely while on deck. Otherwise, we had a good experience 🙂
