Others should’ve been more transparent about their stay here and I wouldn’t have booked. So I’ll try and be more honest. This is a much older hotel but it was very clean and the staff were extremely nice. It’s very close to the water taxi port and centered around lots of popular tourist spots. There is no elevator so you have to pack your luggage up stairs but they only have 4 levels. The building is hot and smelly like mildew but the a/c was good in the rooms. For what I paid I could’ve got something better but it wasn’t the worst. We did feel safe there as well.

I totally enjoyed my stay and I would highly recommend this property!!! I enjoyed the pool and the poolside bar I loved my room my only issue was the shower but overall I loved the politeness of the staff. We were able to do our laundry the people do it for you … San Pedro is a beautiful place as well as Caye Chaulker…I will be back oh I choose the water taxi and the food was delicious Fry Jacks are a must try!!!

The room was clean and had AC. The staff were very nice. But this hotel is very loud. You can hear people talking in the hallways late at night or VERY early in the morning. So if you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs ! Decent location though and we enjoyed our stay.

It was great they had 2 pools... 1 of them on top floor with great view. I liked that they didn't just come (early) for room service. We like to sleep in and we just dropped off the key when we wanted it done. Glad to support a hotel run by actual Belizeans rather than international owners. Nice central location close to water taxi.

This place might be the best bargain on the island as far as lodging is concerned. The room is clean and spacious, and the pool is nice. Lots of places to eat nearby. And several dive shops within walking distance. Is kind of noisy sometimes.

We stayed for 17 nights and really enjoyed calling the room our home. The ac worked great the bed was super comfortable and the shower pressure was also quite nice. The staff was very accommodating and location is perfect. They were doing some work as other have said but it didnt bother us because we knew they were just working on making the place better and we plan on staying there again

The staff at the Tropical Palace were excellent. There were a few issues with our room that were addressed quickly, although the problems weren’t always resolved. If you are thrifty in your travels, this accommodation is OK.
There could have been a lot more maintenance and painting done on the grounds.

This hotel is beautiful with a pool in front and another one on top of the hotel. The rooms are clean and everyone is nice and friendly. We're definately planning on being back next year!
