Tried to scam
I booked through Expedia, but upon arrival, I discovered there was no reception by the building or entrance. As I hadn't received a code to access the gate, I had to call the hotel for assistance.
The employee I spoke with instructed me to create a user account on Expedia to obtain the code, even though I hadn't received any code initially. Despite attempting to call back seven times, I had no luck reaching them.
Suddenly, I received another call apologizing for not receiving my billing information from Expedia. To proceed, they requested that I email a picture of my credit card. It's important to note that it's not advisable to send credit card information via email. As a result, they eventually canceled my reservation. Ironically, the only positive outcome was that I had to find another hotel at 6 pm.
