The space
This thoughtfully designed guest house is a comfortable home base for business travelers, visiting professionals, and extended stays.

The living area feels open and bright, with dramatic 17+ foot ceilings, abundant natural light, and upper windows with peaceful treetop views. Separate areas for working, relaxing, cooking, and sleeping make longer stays feel much more comfortable than a typical hotel room.

For work, there is a dedicated office setup with a Herman Miller Aeron chair, electric sit/stand desk, external monitor, keyboard, mouse, and ultra-fast Sonic 10 Gbps fiber internet. It is well suited for video calls, focused work, large file transfers, streaming, and longer remote-work stays.

The bedroom features a king-size bed with a premium hybrid mattress, organic cotton percale linens, blackout curtains, bedside charging, and a customized full-size wardrobe with generous storage.

The home is especially comfortable for up to 2 guests, while flexible sleeping arrangements can accommodate small families or groups when needed. In addition to the king bed, extra floor mattresses and sofa space are available for additional guests.

The home is exceptionally well equipped, with thoughtful essentials and everyday items conveniently stored throughout. A full kitchen, in-unit washer and dryer, air conditioning, electric fireplace, coffee and snack setup, and courtyard make it easy to settle in and feel at home.

Smart TVs include complimentary access to Netflix and HBO Max, and the home also offers a projector for movie nights or relaxed evenings in.

Set in Redwood City’s highly walkable Centennial neighborhood, the home is well positioned for business, healthcare, university, and extended-stay travel across the Peninsula. Downtown Redwood City and Downtown San Carlos are both about a mile away, with restaurants, cafés, shopping, and entertainment close at hand.

It is also a convenient base for exploring the greater Bay Area, including San Francisco, Half Moon Bay, San Jose, and Santa Cruz. The Peninsula and coast offer plenty of ways to get outdoors, from parks and shoreline trails to kayaking, paddleboarding, boating, and other water-based activities.

Guests have access to the entire guest house, including the bedroom, living area, full kitchen, bathroom, dedicated workspace, in-unit washer and dryer, and courtyard. Designated driveway parking is also provided for convenient arrival and departure.


About the nearby Caltrain:

The home is close to the Caltrain tracks, which makes Peninsula transit especially convenient. Caltrain now runs quieter, cleaner electric trains along this corridor. While an occasional passing train may be heard, many of our previous guests have commented on how quiet and peaceful the home feels, with several saying they hardly noticed the trains at all.

Accessibility note:

The bathroom has a tub/shower combination with a higher step-over threshold. Guests with mobility, balance, or knee concerns may prefer a walk-in shower setup and should keep this in mind when booking.
