"The property was clear, comfortable, and very peaceful. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare proper meals. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the front porch and our evenings on the back patio while barbecuing. It was exactly the weekend we were hoping for!!"

"This has to be one of my best experiences to date and I’ve been traveling a lot the past 2 years. I’m in the process of selling my house and going through major life transitions - needed to get away. From the moment you turn in the driveway your experience begins. The cabin is truly a home away from home from the beautifully decorated, welcoming foyer to the bedrooms, and upstairs relaxing retreat. The kitchen has everything you need and again has all the personal touches. The bed (63 back issues) was amazing! The location is just a short walk from the local coffee shops, restaurants, parks, and the general store. All my encounters were so lovely and welcoming while being just a 2 hour drive from home. The host also accommodated me and allowed my 2 small dogs, and old kitty so I had company. If you have not stayed in Pine Mountain you must and reserve Marilyn’s home. Although, I did not meet her in person her kindness and beautiful retreat was absolutely gorgeous and healing. From my heart - thank you Marilyn and I hope to visit again in the future "

"The host Sam was great answering my questions before, during, and after our church’s college & young adults group’s stay.The group leader said that “the house worked out so-so-so well” for their needs. The drive there was nice and easy to get to, the main house was wonderful, the gathering place (living room) was so spacious, the accommodations were plentiful, the outdoor-setting was tranquil, the big kitchen and refrigerator fit all the food we brought to make all the meals in small teams, and having the second building was convenient (more accommodations) and good for another gathering space.Would recommend the Tanglefoot property and would be happy to stay there again."

"The perfect place to get away from it all! Quiet, relaxing and the bed was super comfortable. Only flaw (and this isn’t the owners fault but the remote area) the internet went down around 7:30 both nights and didn’t come back on till about 8:00 the next morning. Our cell phone provider (T-Mobile) has no service in that area so we were completely without outside communication. We entertained ourselves with the wide variety of board games, and actually talking, so all good and it was nice to disconnect from the world for a bit. Our host was very easy to talk to and the place was easy to access and had everything we needed."
