I would strongly suggest anybody looking to have an enjoyable visit to San Diego to avoid booking a stay at this property. I ended up staying at the Mission Bay Hotel and resort which all a better value and cleaner. Mission Bay Motel is a dump.

Affordable and walking distance to the beach. Pool isn't bad. No A/C, no refrigerators, and wifi doesn't work. It's good for just a place to sleep and park your car which is what I used it for.

This is an older motel. You’ll get a clean room, working shower with a great location. Not fancy, not high end. Staff was nice and it was perfect for what we needed.

Checked in 3 hours early and they had our room nice and clean. The owner was super helpful. Her staff was amazing! Only a few blocks away from the beach. We only stayed one night, but very nice.

Great location—literally just a block from the beach! The property was clean, comfortable, and within walking distance to everything we needed. Staying here made our time in San Diego even better, especially since it was so reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend!

The new owners just took over the property 2 weeks ago but they are very customer oriented. The location is a 9.5, one block from the beach Bike rentals across the street and an amazing price.

Dumpy staff, dirty property, didn't get any accoutrements like ice bucket, toilet paper, or clean sheets, loud area and neighbors(buy ear plugs) but still giving 4 stars as it's the cheapest motel in OB right across from the beach and down the street Garnett with all the nightlife. They dont have AC and the room was really hot, everyone in the motel has the windows open the all night, i went with my kids so i was scared to sleep with the window open my poor kids sleep really bad that night.

Amazing location in San Diego—this place really delivers if you want to be close to everything. It’s definitely a no-frills motel, but it’s clean and comfortable, which is exactly what we needed. The walking distance to shops, food, and the beach made the stay super convenient. You really can’t beat the location here. It’s great if your plan is to be out exploring San Diego rather than spending time in a hotel room. The property itself is simple and provides the basics, but it is clean and well-kept. Everything is within walking distance - restaurants, shops and best yet is the beach is literally a block away. Would definitely stay here again for the convenience alone.

Stayed at Mission Beach Motel and it’s all about the location—absolutely unbeatable. You’re within walking distance to pretty much everything, which made exploring San Diego effortless. The place itself is no-frills, but it’s clean and comfortable, which is really all you need when you’re spending most of your time out enjoying the beach and the city. If you’re looking for luxury, this isn’t it—but if you want a simple, well-located spot to crash while you enjoy San Diego, it does the job perfectly.

Doesn’t say anywhere that there is no ac, just one fan in the room. It was so miserably hot it was almost impossible to sleep, and ragingly loud. The house keeping also were slam knocking on my door 2 hours before checkout. Would never stay again.

The property didn't have enough parking. The staff was not friendly and the room was 90 degrees with no air conditioning and the fan was an old one that wasn't even working because it was missing a part so I couldn't even turn it on. The room was dirty. I left running.

It’s a surfer motel. No amenities, ugly rooms, no air conditioning. Pacific Beach is a pleasant spot with nice cool weather. This place is budget, only acceptable if you only come back to sleep. Bottom line is that I recommend it if you’re looking for the cheapest lodging in Pacific Beach and everything else here is crazy expensive now. Convenient, park right outside your room. It’s acceptable, don’t expect to like this motel.
