Charming Casa Montecito, Newly Renovated in Peaceful Mission Hills

This upstairs unit has a sunny living room with a 65" smart TV with Apple TV, and lots of games to enjoy with family and friends. The dining area can seat 8 comfortably. In the kitchen every convenience is at your fingertips; Kitchen-Aid range, convection microwave, Bosch dishwasher, and a Kitchen-Aid full size refrigerator with filtered water and ice-maker.
The king bedroom features a Casper mattress and the 2nd bedroom is a queen mattress.
In addition to the king and queen beds there is a self-inflating queen air mattress and a twin cot that can be set up in the family room. Linens are a high thread count with fluffy down/alternative comforters.
One bath has a shower and tub, the second has a walk in shower. A new, full-size, stackable washer and dryer are in the home.
Outdoor spaces are important to take in our perfect, year round San Diego weather. There are two patios, one with table and chairs and a Weber charcoal grill, the other with fire-pit and Adirondack chairs. Two balconies off the living room are a great spot to watch the hummingbirds and green parrots that live in our neighborhood.

Beautiful neighborhood andthe house is gorgeous ! The kitchen was well stocked, had everything we needed. restaurant, shopping and sightseeing are nearby. owners were easy to work with. Beds were comfortable. Definitely would recommend and would love to go back.

Wonderful rental in quiet neighborhood

What a nice stay. 4 adults and the rental had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy the area. Very quiet neighborhood and friendly owners on-site who had great communication. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Fabulous house, perfect location

Loved everything about this place. Historic charm yet beautifully updated. Quiet, walkable neighborhood less than 15 mins to zoo, Sea World and beaches. Short drive to airport but never heard a single plane fly over. Super comfortable king size beds in both large bedrooms. Host quickly answered questions. Easy parking right outside front door. Definitely hope to stay here again!

Beautiful home in Montecito

Bob & Melindas home was one of the most beautiful VRBO’s we have ever stayed in. It was even more beautiful than the photos. We had all the amenities we needed, the beds were very comfortable and the place was immaculately kept. We would most definitely stay here again in the future.

Amazing little historical home.

We loved every minute of our stay. The home is we’ll taken care of and a charming piece of preserved history. We enjoyed how it was located close to everything. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer. We will definitely book again.

A phenomenal BnB stay!

This beautiful historical property has been recently fully renovated and is spotlessly clean. It is better-furnished than any BnB we have seen, and is in fact nicer than a very high-end hotel penthouse suite. Located in an iconic, very quiet neighborhood very close to everything we wanted to visit, the views from the many large windows were wonderful. The hosts could not have been better. We look forrward to staying again in the future.

Awesome experience

Casa Montecito was a great place to stay. Centrally located to San Diego attractions like the Zoo, Sea World and the beach!! The unit is very well appointed and we loved staying there. Additionally, Bob and Melinda were very responsive and really nice as well! We hope to stay at there again some time!

Great location and charming house

Wonderful home and charming location. Close to everything in San Diego! Accommodations are very spacious, modern and well-maintained. Beds are quite comfortable. Neighborhood is so sweet and lovely and only a block away from cute shops.

Lovely, peaceful getaway

This is a jewel of a place in Mission Hills! It is clean, bright and comfortably furnished in a quiet neighborhood. We walked to a local playground as well as a local restaurant. The hosts were available, kind and responsive. The location was peaceful and convenient. We look forward to staying here again!

Spacious Comfortable and Quiet

We really enjoyed our Labor Day weekend here. This place has all the amenities you would need for a fun and relaxing weekend with family. Our hosts Bob and Melinda were very responsive. We will definitely be back!

Perfect!

Your home is beautifully kept and decorated and we loved this historical property. Everything we needed and perfect location to get to everyplace we wanted. The neighborhood has a great coffee place and market within walking distance and feels very safe. Bob and Melinda provided a very comfortable stay. Would love to visit again.

Casa Montecito

Beautifully presented residence located in desirable neighborhood. Well positioned for easy access to most areas of town. Very pleasant owner. This is a duplex unit with a flight of stairs to reach interior. Considering its location in a congested neighborhood it is extremely quiet- day and night.

Amazing home in a beautiful neighborhood

Very clean modern and comfortable home with every necessity and appliance needed. I say “home” because it felt just as cozy as if it were your own. Perfect in every way!

Great place in a great location. The house had everything we needed & the whole place seems to be “new” from appliances to extras. Our favorites were all of the light fixtures & artwork. The only downside was the bathrooms are not connected to the bedrooms. They were however newly remodeled with great showers! Another great plus was ample street parking anytime. Will definitely stay there again!

Family Gathering

Everything was wonderful. Loved the property, hosts, amenities, and all the wonderful things San Diego has to offer. Couldn’t have asked for a better property to stay at. Mission Hill was so close to everything and had that homey feeling. We had the entire second floor and kept the balcony patio doors open in the evening for cool pacific breezes. Perfect for our family of 5 (4 adults and baby). Thanks so much to our hosts!

The Best

We've been staying in Mission Hills since 2013. We always come out in February to get out of the gloom of Louisville weather. We've stayed several times in 3 different VRBO's - all of which have been very nice but the all around best has been Casa Monticello. Melinda and Bill have done a terrific job on restoration and the location is wonderful. Close to everything either by walking, Trolley or car. The house is well kept and everything from the interaction with the owners to the ease of check in was easy going. Great place.

Melinda and Bob were fantastic hosts and we would like to thank them for allowing us to stay in their wonderful property. The house was absolutely stunning and in a beautiful area. All the furnishings and equipment were comfortable and clean and in great condition. It was also great to have a washer and dryer in the property, so I got all my laundry done before we came home. Bob and Melinda were on hand to answer any questions we had and recommended places for us to visit and have dinner, Bob even drove us to the supermarket when we arrived to pick up provisions for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to San Diego and I would highly recommend this property.
