We stayed at this rental with our family of 11 for 4 nights. Our first discovery when we arrived was that the listing was misleading. When we booked Peter’s place we of course saw the picture of the house, but had no idea until we arrived that there were two additional rentals below us that had the direct access to the bay. Also, the washer/dryer listed is shared by all three rentals & is a stackable unit located inside a door off the backside of the property. We chose not to use it, as the condition was not good. This place was not clean, period. The patio off the family room was unusable as it had over an inch of standing water on it when we checked in. The kitchen needed a complete cleaning and when we went to use the dishes and silverware, we found that most were so dirty we had to wash the dried food from them before use.After tracking down the host’s contact number via a call to VRBO, we requested he send a maintenance person to drain & clean the patio, unclog a bathroom sink, and fix a non-working TV on the main floor. Due to all of this, Peter did tell us that he’d refund our cleaning fee. 2 weeks after checking out and multiple attempts to reach Peter, he did nothing. I called to report all this to VRBO and they tried multiple times to contact him but he never answered and never called them back.Through all of our years of travel, we’ve never have had to leave a negative review, yet here we are and we’d highly recommend staying somewhere else….
