The best hotel in San Cristobal de las Casas!

This is my second time staying at Guayaba Inn, and I give it 5 stars all around. Gorgeous garden, delicious breakfast, cozy rooms, comfortable beds, attentive staff... You can't go wrong here.

My dad, brother and I just spent 4 nights at guayaba inn and it was fantastic. Its 10 mins away from the main square and some of San Cristobal‘s main sights. The rooms surround a gorgeous garden with tropical flowers and a koi fish pond. Breakfast is included and although the options are limited, everything is delicious. The only issue we had was that we didn’t have hot water in our rooms but the manager Julio got this fixed promptly and offered us to do our laundry for free as compensation. 10 out 10.

The place was great and the staff was helpful and friendly. It was very comfortable and the breakfast options were very good. The only minor issue was that the tub in the room wasn’t working, but overall it was a pretty nice spot to stay in San Cris.

My stay at Guayaba was absolutely wonderful. The garden and rooms are beautiful ~ elegant, clean, tranquil. The perfect spot to feel at home in San Crist and within walking distance to everything. Breakfast is delicious and the staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. Fabulous experience!

Fabulous girls’ trip to San Cristóbal de Las Casas, and our stay at Guayaba Inn made it even better. Everyone was wonderful. They helped us organize tours and reserve drivers, schedule a massage on site (that we highly recommend), and provided a yummy and filling breakfast every morning. A quick note for light sleepers since I am one, the room at the back of the property is against the street so request an interior room or be sure to bring earplugs.

What a beautifully tropical and tranquil oasis when u walk in. The suites are huge and imminently restful. Loved the luxury of the hammered copper soaking tub. The drain leaked once but the staff fixed it asap. Their included breakfast service is really nice. Protip: exit the property and go left down Comitan street until you come upon the hundreds of permanent stalls selling local products. Enjoy!

We loved staying at the Inn. The staff was superb helping us in every way and extremely timely. I have not experienced such timeliness and helpfulness. We also really enjoyed staying is an upscale though traditional Mexican inn with beautiful art through out. Each evening we lit the fire in our in suite fireplace enjoying a glass of wine which was available for purchase in the room. I highly recommend the inn. It was a pleasure and delight.

Very disappointing stay.

We did not have consisting hot water. Our shampoo and conditioner never got replaced. I could never get a washcloth. The worst part was that there was no heat anywhere in the building. Everyone was very friendly. The breakfast was very good but the coffe very weak.
