This private palapa casita embodies the desert-meets-tropics experience of San Carlos, Mexico. The spacious open floor plan inside includes one queen bed, a full bathroom, a stocked kitchen, and a large countertop/bar for food preparation, eating and entertaining. The large balcony/patio outside includes a charcoal grill, and wicker furniture. The following utilities are Included: AC, electricity, gas, Wi-Fi, purified drinking water via garrafon (a large jug), space heater and basic consumables.
The space
Please note, as a precautionary measure, the palapa is meticulously cleaned following the strict guidelines provided by VRBO based on the recommendations from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The palapa structure is a masterfully designed palm thatch roof supported in the corners by pillars adorned with fish and dolphins painted by the local muralist, Hector Vari. The interior is decorated with antique handmade wooden doors and gorgeous talavera tiles. The soaring ceiling is graced by large wall-to-wall windows providing multiple vantage points with stunning views. The fully functional kitchen is stocked with all the necessities. The sleeping arrangements are suited primarily for two people with a queen-sized bed, and a very comfortable full-sized sofa bed is available to accommodate an additional two guests.
Guest access
The casita is located on top of the main house, from which it is completely detached. Private access is provided via a spiral staircase. Due to the staircase, there is no wheelchair access, and it is not safe for toddlers. Entrance to the property is through two large gates that open into a large yard. There is ample gated, off-street parking for your vehicle, including a trailer for any “toys” you may have, such as boats, jet skis, etc.
