The staff were great, the location very convenient and having on-site parking was great. The hotel is in need of maintenance - the door handle didn't work properly and the door wouldn't stay shut, the roll shade on the outside was difficult to get up & down, the windows were hard to open and close, the pillows were like surfboards and the internet was intermittent, slow and barely worked at times. The breakfast was very mediocre - canned fruit salad instead of fresh, no eggs, boxed orange juice - the lowest quality breakfast we in any hotel.

Unsafe hotel with broken facilities

I booked Hosteria Piuke for 7 nights but left after 3 because the facilities and service were so bad. Many issues to cover, the main one being I didn't feel safe in this property. There was a smell of gas one evening and when I opened my door, one of the hotel staff was trying to re-ignite a gas boiler with a naked flame. She had a small paper fire going on the ground beside the boiler. I took a photo of this and although I didn't capture the flames, you can see matches and paper on the ground. As for the room itself, it was not as advertised. It was much smaller, the TV was smaller, the bathroom was tiny (see photo), the window didn't shut properly which meant it was cold in the room, the wifi did not work for the entire time I was there. On 2 of the 3 nights I stayed, there was no hot water (in winter). Because I had booked for 7 days ahead of time, the staff at the hotel refused to give me a refund for the 4 days I didn't use (it was $600 for 7 nights in peak winter season). They ignored my follow up emails too. I felt I deserved a refund due to the lack of basic facilities and the unsafe conditions in the hotel. There is also no lift in the hotel so you will be carrying your own luggage up and down the narrow stairs. Also, if you are english and non-spanish speaking traveller, do not go here. The front desk staff speak ZERO english. Even though it's only 2 stars, basic and safe facilities are expected. This hotel fails to deliver.

The whole place was spotless, the bedrooms were confortable and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. From breakfast to costumer service was 1/10. The breakfast was just enough, we didn’t mind not having hot food. The location was perfect, close to restaurants and shops and travel agencies to organise excursions. The ladies were very helpful and puntual having the breakfast ready by 7:30 am What we didn’t like was the internet service and the tv reception. We also don’t like the shower and there is no screen and water goes everywhere, no matter how careful you may be. Every thing else was just perfect. We definitely recommend this hostel.

Good location

The hotel has limited parking, which we used and it was one of the reasons why we chose it. Location is very good. Our room was quite simple (I expected it to be a bit better) and some rennovation could be done, particularly to the entrance door. There was too much light in the room early in the morning and I felt too hot in it. I believe it is worthy to mention that there was no elevator. Breakfast was as good as in an average hotel in Argentina.

Great location at an affordable price

Comfortable and affordable hotel in a great location - close to everything but in a quieter street. We would have liked to have been able to turn the heating down but the windows opened, so that provided a workable) solution. Good basic breakfast was appreciated.

Bom custo beneficio

Uma boa pousada pra quem quer estar próximo ao centro de Bariloche, a localização realmente é muito boa. A pousada não possui elevador mas são apenas 4 lances de escadas para quem ficar no último andar. O banheiro que realmente é o ponto fraco, pois é com cortina e no nosso quarto não tinha ralo do lado de fora do box para escorrer a água, ficando assim, uma piscina dentro e fora do box. O café é bem simples, mas é oq normalmente se encontra em hotéis e pousadas na Argentina. No final da estadia que tivemos um problema com o pagamento, talvez por não conhecerem o sistema desse site e queriam nos cobrar novamente, mas logo que explicado que era pago tudo pelo site foi resolvido enviando o comprovante para eles. Enfim pra quem procura ficar praticamente na principal dual de Bariloche e num lugar bem tranquilo vale bastante a pena!
