The neighborhood looks shady but was perfectly safe. I loved the house and will use it again.

Perfect stay

This house is located close to all the hot spots downtown. The convenience of this location was what made it a great stay, the inside of the bnb was very very accurate and was better in person. This house fit all the criteria for a good stay, privacy convenience and price.

Everything about the home was excellent. Very good condition and comfy beds. Communication was excellent and we had no problems finding the place. The parking was secure as you park inside the fence of the property. The only negative we could see was not enough utensils were available. We left a 1 qt pot so the next tenant could make some soup. Next time in San Antonio we'll look to rent this place again.

Week in San Antonio

Enjoyed having a whole house to relax in after a fun day of adventuring in San Antonio. The kids appreciated the ability to get away from the adults for a bit in the evening an get online of just chill together.Affordable and convenient. Appreciated the off-street parking and the fact that we could cook. Really appreciated the 2 1/2 baths! :)

Only parking is on the Main Street. Staff at the management company did not seem to want to be bothered by us asking about the situation. Instead they told us whatever they thought we wanted to hear, just to get us off the phone. That being said, the house itself is very nice.

Worth the Price

Property was clean and looked just like the pictures shown. The only issue I have is I was told it was a 15 minute walk to Riverwalk when in fact it was more like 30 mins so we had to drive there instead. Other than that it was great!

Great roomy space!

My family and I stayed here for a spring break trip. We loved the fact it had 2.5 bathrooms and the two separate spaces for sleeping. The gate also openes up front so we could park our car. It was a short walk to the Alamo and Riverwalk. Would not recommend walking at night due to the area, but there are plenty of close parking garages!

Perfect Stay

So this rental is literally just minutes from everything. About 8 minutes from the River Center, the Alamo and the market. It was very clean. Even though the area around is questionable, it’s not as bad as looks. For the most part it is quiet. The a/c worked perfectly. We felt very comfortable and cozy during our stay!

Final Four vacation

Pros: We enjoyed the location for walking and biking to most of the places we went. Although it was just my wife and myself, the property was spacious and would easily accommodate 4 adults. The private patio was nice for spending time outside. Cons: Only 1 remote control for the 2 televisions. Management/ owner could not determine the bike lock combinations (we were able to ride, but not lock up the bikes). Kitchen could use a few more furnishings (glasses, plates, bowls, etc.). The secondary (loft BR) shower drain was clogged (drained extremely slowly).

When we arrived, we couldn’t find the home. I phoned and left a message with Birdy Vacations. They never got back to me. In the kitchen area there were 3 light bulbs out which made it hard to see when cooking. The kitchen is skim on stocking supplies. There was not a single hanger in the entire home. When I finally did get ahold of someone at birdy, they told me to go get the light bulbs and hangers myself, and they would reimburse. In our short stay, I did not want to do this. Also, I would need a ladder to replace the bulbs. When I got ahold of the owner, he said he has thousands of renters and never has problems. I wish I would have read the remarks better before booking, as his statement isn’t true. There was a nice lady at Birdy that offered 5% discount on a future stay. I would not take that risk of staying there again. She apologized and said this was not the way they want to treat renters. I hope for future renters, she’s correct.

The layout of this property is terrific. Bedrooms and bathrooms are great sizes. Even the proximity to downtown was great. The major drawbacks were: cleanliness. Goodness gracious, whomever was in charge of cleaning this location did a lackluster job. When we arrived, there was no laundry detergent, dish detergent, pet hair on the furniture and stray straight hair everywhere( sofa, chair, bathroom floors, linens, etc). When we called customer service to inform them of the state of the property, they sent a cleaner with the missing supplies. The customer service agent was quick to resolve the issue, but the actual housekeeper that showed up didn't want to really make things right. She did at least let us know that it was her birthday. In order to get comfortable, I washed the sheets on both beds, swept the floors, stairs and changed the linens. This isn't an ideal way to begin a vacation and be charged a cleaning fee. There were stains on the wall of the stairs, and even a dishwasher full of dirty upon our arrival. This was ludicrous.
