This property was greatly enjoyed. It was charmingly constructed and boasts a central courtyard that the bedrooms and main living spaces are built around. A cold plunge pool is a great way to cool off and enjoy the view. The lovely verandas allow for beautiful views of the bay below and the forest around the house has a collection of monkeys, birds, lizards and interesting insects. The house is mostly secluded and has a couple of neighbouring houses that can be seen and heard, but did not bother us at all. The place is about a 10 min drive from Sámara on a narrow gravel road that has some rutted sections (we had a 4x4) and there are no amenities within walking distance. The house has the mecessary basics for the kitchen. Body boards, beach chairs and towels were available which was appreciated. Our overall perspective was that the house design and location were charming, but the house desperately needs an update and a thorough organizing and cleaning. The mattresses were old and uncomfortable; the window screens were moldy and full of little holes; the kitchen cupboards were disorganized, musty, and a bit dirty; some of the doors didn't close well; and the laundry area was so crowded and full of everything from a quad to an old fridge. If these types of details don't worry you, this place is fantastic. The property manager was wonderful. She met us when we arrived and communicated well throughout our stay and was eager to offer help or advice.
