Staff were friendly, professional, and on top of everything. I was very happy with our room with the view of the ocean. There was quite the assortment for breakfast (I miss those pão de queijos)! It’s close to pelourinho, a mall, and other popular districts. Highly recommended this hotel!

This is the place to stay when in Salvador. The hotel has comdortable beds, excellent breakfast buffet and tasty menu for other meals. A small pool on the ground floor deck which looks out onto the street and beach (perfect for viewing Carnaval). Almost every amenity you could need is within walking distance, including a mall. A short, easy Uber ride to other attractions in Salvador. I look forward to staying here during non-Carnaval time

This hotel is a hidden gem amongst all the larger chain hotels. The location is perfect, the staff are incredibly kind, helpful and obliging. The breakfast selection is amazing and did I say the staff are wonderful. We had a wonderful stay here. Thank you.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. First thing is the staff: excellent service, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Maintenance is also impeccable. Everything works, is clean and well kept. Breakfast is amazing! Variety, quality, flavor and nutrition are very well balanced. Probably one of the top three I've had in my life of extensive travels. The only thing really that could use a little improvement is the drink menu at the bar. The quality is great but selection is somewhat limited. We'll definitely be back.

Nice experience

The location is perfect in Salvador Praia da Barra, the hotel needs a serious renovation. Please change urgently the bathroom toiletries, they are really bad and the smell in the hair is terrible. Staff is very nice, checking in was super fast and on time.

I don't often write reviews, but the staff at Monte Paschal Praia really do deserve some recognition for being so friendly, welcoming and helpful, especially when dealing with a complicated multi-part reservation, broken adapters et cetera. We were upgraded to a sea-view room, with a wonderful view of the bay. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, the breakfast buffet is delicious and the pool is perfect for cooling off on hotter days.

The property is well kept, and the staff was truly invested in my experience. Nicest people and quick to respond to my requests. The gym is not really up to par so if you work out you might want to figure out an alternative. Overall this is an excellent choice and would stay here if I ever go back to Salvador. Definitely worthy of 4 stars.

Excellent location across the street from the beach. Very good breakfast buffet. Rooms are standard but clean. Some street noise. Mall with food court three blocks away. Watch for ancillary charges at checkout. Fee to check in early (before 3:00). Overall, a good experience and would stay again.

While my stay had a few challenges, I appreciated how quickly and pleasantly issues were resolved whenever I reached out via WhatsApp; not the concierge because English speaking staff was limited. For instance, the toilet bowl was on the verge of overflowing upon arrival, and the room door wasn’t locking properly—but both were promptly addressed. However, what truly frustrated me was the repeated miscalculation of the laundry charge. First, I was quoted 620, then 330, then 360, when the actual cost was 320. I had to provide photo evidence of the returned clothes to prove the discrepancy. Honesty is non-negotiable for me, and this matter should be addressed with the staff. On a positive note, the hospitality was outstanding. Gusto, the doorman, and Gabrielle at the front desk were incredibly helpful each day. I regret not catching the other gentleman’s name, but his assistance was much appreciated as well (also a doorman). The included breakfast was superb, and the rooms were exceptionally comfortable.
