We had a view of the cathedral from our room. Beautiful setting. Lovely room, comfortable bed and excellent buffet. Very helpful staff. Great location to visit city on foot.

This is a stunning hotel with amazing views of Salamanca! We had a family suite with a large private terrace overlooking the ancient Cathedral! Stunning views and very beautful location. Great breakfast as well!

I was actually pleasantly surprised by how good this was! We had gotten this is on a deal, and I expected it to be a bare-bones hotel. Instead it was quite an aesthetically pleasing place with moderately sized rooms, a full bath, a nice breakfast room, and a comfortable bed. The location is awesome - right near the Plaza Mayor in Salamanca. We are glad we went to the San Polo.

Unique location as built over ancient ruins which are now part of the hotel. Rooms spacious with slightly dated bathroom. Breakfast was below average. Cooked items not particularly tasty. Scrambled eggs to salty & only warm. Only fresh fruit were melons. No cold milk for cereals.

Great location. Very good rate. Had to return to reception to ask for the safe key (since I couldn't work out how to use it) and get a map of the city. Would have been nice to have been given both at check in. Room extremely hot, and air con wasn't available, and again I was not told at check in. To cool the room, had to leave a window open. Frig not working. It was probably operator trouble, but they knew it was coming so why wasn't it checked and running on my arrival. These are all minor complaints, but they prevent me from giving the hotel a higher rating and made my stay less enjoyable. It would have cost them nothing to provide a better service.

The hotel is cozy because of its size and furnishings. Unfortunately the cleaning staff moves the beds just by pushing them without lifting up while cleaning, which is very loud. Besides the breakfast doesn’t offer much but one sort of cheese and ham and a few other things.

Das Hotel liegt gleich an der Stadtmauer und die Altstadt ist in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar. Der Check In Vorgang scheint kompliziert und dauert recht lange. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im ersten Stock. Das Zimmer und Bad waren sauber. Insgesamt recht klein und man merkt der Einrichtung in Zimmer und Bad die Jahre ohne Renovierung an. Das Zimmer ist sehr hellhörig, so dass man den Lärm sowohl vom Flur (sogar vom unten liegenden Restaurant) als auch durchs geschlossene Fenster vom Hof mitbekommt. Wir hatten zwei Betten, die bequem waren. Die Klimaanlage ist auch schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und nicht sehr leise im Nachtbetrieb. Frühstück ist Standard. Fazit: grundsätzlich solides Hotel in guter Lage, aber keine besondere Empfehlung. Das historische Gebäude kann man auch ansehen, ohne darin zu übernachten.

L'Hotel si trova in un'ottima posizione, proprio vicino alla Cattedrale. E' rinnovato nelle parti comuni, ma le stanze hanno uno stile molto vecchio e i bagni andrebbero rinnovati. Alle 8.00 del mattino il personale delle pulizie spostava rumorosamente i letti. Durante la colazione a buffet un'addetta alle pulizie stava scopando il pavimento nella saletta proprio sopra al buffet.
