We had an amazing stay at this house. When we first pulled up, my jaw literally dropped, the grounds & property are so stunning. The property is comprised of a few different buildings, with some of the “cabinas” (aka: sleeping quarters) separate from the living & dining space, giving everyone plenty of privacy. I stayed in one of the modern bungalows, which has a California King-sized bed, A/C and private bath.
While we were there, there was also an onsite chef & caretaker who was incredible. Food was delicious (handmade tortillas on the chimnea every night!!) and service wonderful. Unlike many VRBO’s or vacation rentals, where you still have to do some “chores” (cook/clean up after meals, make your bed, etc), the staff took care of all of that. This felt more like a hotel or retreat space. We didn’t have to think about meals, cleaning, making our beds, or anything. Heaven!
What I loved most was that there was ample space for us to hang out during the day—comfortable lounge chairs, hammock, hanging beds, cozy alcoves, etc—around the pool and facing the ocean. The place is incredibly well-designed, with an eye toward a natural aesthetic. The pool has a larger shallow part to it, which would be perfect for little kids to splash in—though we mostly made use of it for a quick dip after surfing. Surfing in La Saladita, which is a quick drive or 20 min walk is amazing—I was in longboard heaven!! I hope to return very soon!
