The reception closed at 7pm and we were delayed on the way, so we called. We don't speak French and reception didn't speak English, but somehow we managed to get that we were arriving at 8pm. "I had a lovely week, away from it all, in Haute Correze. I love the area though I wasn't familiar with Ussel and its surroundings but found loads of new places to see and things to do. The accomodation was very spacious (I was alone), the dining room, kitchen and bathroom all well- equipped. I was there during a heatwave and the terrace was sometimes just too hot to sit out on, but still an asset to the property."

"Séjour agréable.Maison de ville conforme à la description. L'espace cuisine manque d'un peu plus de lumière. Il manque un wc indépendant, non précisé dans la description. Il faut accéder à l'une des deux chambres aux étages. Nous avons eu un souci avec la boîte à clés,car la clé est trop grande et a bloqué la boîte. Difficile de communiquer avec l'hôte car décalage avec son lieu d'habitation. Le reste est bien.En partant j'ai laissé un message à la personne qui s'occupe du gîte,mais n'est pas eu...

"We had a great time at this place. It is a pretty location in the higher altitues of the Massive Central. The place was clean and the owners were friendly. The only point of confusion was about the bed sheets. This costs extra, but the extra item was not described on VRBO/FeWo. (If you bring your own sheets make sure to ask them about the right sizes.) "Nous avons apprécié le Cantal pour ses activités en plein air. Balades, baignades dans le lac... Le quartier, composé de chalets, est verdoyant, calme et agréable. Nous avons apprécié aussi la proximité du lac pour la baignade. Le logement est cosy, nous avons apprécié la terrasse sur laquelle nous avons pu prendre tous nos repas grâce au store et à l'ombre des arbres. Un seul bémol, l'étroitesse de la douche et des escaliers pour une personne grande et de forte corpulence."

"Dear gods! I thought I'd have a tiny, but cute room. Place was bigger than my house! Full kitchen. Raindrop shower. And the ceilings...just exposed beams and gorgeous. Proper ceiling fan, not an occilator on a table (which works fine, but still). It was a very short walk from the Aubusson station and the tapestry museum. Oh, and the brunch they now offer (i was informed that it is new), they have everything from quiche to breads, croissants, coddled eggs, tarts that are out of this world. Also, we got a bit of a show. They bring in goats to manicure the lawns, such as they are. The goats paraded by our table and were adorable. I mean, i know goats csn get unrully, but these little suckers were focused on getting to their meal. I love them! Basically, just stay here."
