Luxurious spot in St Malo

Staff was wonderful, the room was roomy, the bed comfy and the bathroom well appointed with toiletries, a plush robe and slippers. Beautiful views of the ocean and a very nice (if busy) spa.

I do not recommend

The room had a very unpleasant smell, as if the carpet had never been washed. Very small shower. Breakfast was awful, cold, unappetizing scrambled eggs that took a very long time to arrive. None of the waiters in the restaurant spoke English, is this really the standard for a Grand Hotel? The situation was saved by a very polite employee from the reception and a beautiful view.

5 star dreaming. How this hotel was accredited with 5 stars is beyond comprehension. Some of the staff are totally disinterested in offering an acceptable level of customer service. Unfortunately I risked lunch in the bar area. The salad was part frozen. Who freezes tomato? Book at your peril.

Hotel bien agréable

Hotel bien agréable, bien situé en bord de mer. Personnel sympathique et présent. Le spa est plaisant notamment ce parcours aquatonic. Deux bémols: les chambres sont assez petites et le prix du petit déjeuner est exorbitant en rapport aux produits servis. Nous le prenions dans le passé (2 ou 3 précédents séjours) mais cette fois-ci, non, nous allions à l'extérieur.
