Great place to stay with family

This is a peaceful location very convenient for a family and to welcome friends for a dinner and enjoy cooking Périgord products on a plancha. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. The house is beautiful and the park with the pool is fantastic for kids to play. You can visit the nice villages around or just stay and enjoy the house.

Country perfection.

This gite was fabulous. Gilles and Charlène have included everything we needed for perfect stay for 4 of us, for just under 4 weeks.The hosts were extremely helpful.The Gite is very comfortable with both inside and outside dining & lounge areas. The pool was perfect for those hot days.It is conveniently located near Saint Genies, in a very quiet area, but very drivable to many attractions in the Vèzère & Dordogne valleys.

We had a fantastic stay at Gilles and Charlene’s gîte in the Dordogne. The property is modern, very spacious and extremely well equipped, both inside and out. We even had visits to the garden in the evening by a local deer.Despite its rural location, Sarlat is literally a short drive away. We visited on market day - Wednesday - which can be busy so consider the park and ride, though this was a bit chaotic! The much smaller market at nearby Saint-Genies on Sunday morning was also enjoyable.As well as Sarlat we visited the town of Brives, which was the farthest we got. We can recommend the boat trip along the Dordogne and canoeing from La Roque-Gageac and the gardens at Marqueyssac where we went to the candlelight evening (every Thursday in summer). For something that involves less driving and walking there is a man-made lake and beach at Etang de Tamnies, about 10 minutes away. We can also recommend eating at L'Atelier d'Epicure in Saint-Cyprien.Gilles and Charlene were excellent hosts, and we would not hesitate to recommend this gîte to anyone visiting this part of the Dordogne.

A relaxing stay in the countryside

Spacious house in a quiet environment

We stayed at this house for a week. Even before we arrived we already had very pleasant contact with the owners, who accepted our request to reschedule our stay to another week just 2 days before our initial arrival date, which they had no obligations to do. The house itself is located in a very quiet place. In the evening you could hear nothing at all, it was completely silent. However the house is located within 10 minutes drive of Sarlat. Also many other pretty villages and other things we planned to see were close by. The house is very spacious, inside and outside and is very well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay!

Perfektes Wohnen in ruhiger Natur

Das Haus von Gilles und Charlène ist sehr gut eingerichtet. Der Pool war bei den heissen Spätsommer-Tagen täglich benützt. Viele Vögel haben wir gesichtet und im Garten durften wir uns von den Feigen und Pfirsichen bedienen. Wir können den Ort nahe von Sarlat, nahe der Sehenswürdigkeiten, bestens empfehlen.

Fantastische zomer 2023

Wij hebben een zeer aangename vakantie beleefd in Le Rozel! Het huis is heel ruim en comfortabel (foto's komen overeen met de werkelijkheid), de keuken is voorzien van voldoende huisraad (je komt er niets tekort), het huis was heel proper en de huiseigenaars zijn super vriendelijk en heel vlot bereikbaar, Het verwarmde zwembad en het terrein waarop het huis gelegen is, is een echte meerwaarde. Wie van de rust en de stilte wilt genieten moet er heen gaan. Ideale locatie om ook uitstappen te doen niet ver weg met de auto. Zeker te doen kanotocht op de Dordorgne (kastelenroute), Beynac kasteel was zeer indrukwekkend en de grotten van Lascaux zijn ook de moeite om naar toe te gaan. Wij bevelen dit huis zeker aan iedereen aan, huiseigenaar zijn top, stond ook een attentie klaar bij aankomst. Wij hopen zeker nog eens terug te gaan:) Bedankt!

Petit coin de paradis campagne

Maison très agréable , tout est fait pour se sentir comme à la maison, les espaces intérieurs sont grands , nous avons été à l'aise pour 6 adultes , les extérieurs sont super, endroit calme, à voir absolument Padirac, les chateau notamment Castelnau. Nous avons tous été enchanté de cette petite parenthèse dans le périgord Noir
