"This charming stone farmhouse in the quiet area of Eglise-Neuve-de-Vergt in the Dordogne is an absolute joy to stay at. It is so much more than just an ordinary gite. Located just off a little lane about a hundred metres away from the local road. It is very well equipped and the rooms are quite large, spacious and comfortable. As the nearest supermarket and restaurants are a fair way off you may need to plan your shopping well, but as it is in such a peaceful spot I believe that staying here is...

The kitchen is a bit small but has all the necessary tools and appliances Le Bugue is 4 km away and has 3 supermarkets. Very comfortable. You will love a stroll to the river the Vesere to swim in. It did not disappoint; excellent and helpful staff, brilliant location with an easy walk to the old city, a private secure car park, quiet comfortable room, and a good breakfast. And an excellent value! Our stay in Bergerac was very pleasant thanks to the Hotel de Bordeaux. "

"This is a very central hotel, and at first glance is very much in the traditional mould. However everything is modern, comfortable and works. There's even a pool and the breakfast was very good. The parking is limited but there's (paid) public parking right outside. Overall very good value for money."

"We had an excellent two-week stay in this lovely traditional gîte. The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped. The hosts, Pascal and Sabine, were wonderful and very welcoming. Our 10-year-old son really enjoyed the pool area. There was plenty to do and see in the area. We would definitely recommend it."

"Booked a room for seven nights, but checked out after the first night. It was incredibly hot that week, around 105 degrees. The room had no air conditioning, or fans. The windows could not be open during the evening because there were no screens in the windows and with the mosquitoes and bats flying around that was not an option. It was cooler outside than in the room. When I decided to check out the following day the staff were apologetic, but there was nothing they could do. The resort, as of now has not offered a refund for the remaining six nights."
